Fendi Takes A Modern View of Roman Style in Fall 2025 Campaign by Steven Meisel

AOC loves Paris and the south of France. But we’ve been saying for many months now that it’s an Italian moment, and nothing — not even the king of cashmere’s current Italian sweatshop scandal — will dampen AOC’s love affair with la dolce vita.

Fendi’s fall-winter 2025 campaign film begins with a visual dose of sophisticated retro nostalgia, peppered with modern reinvention. In speaking with WWD about the fall-winter 2025 collection, Silvia Venturini Fendi stressed the reality that the fall 2025 collection presents “a contemporary and comprehensive vision of the brand”.

Fendi is also aiming to convey this modern message with ancient roots with the inauguration of a new sprawling flagship on Milan’s Via Montenapoleone.

Anne Is Swept Away

Depending on your age, the soundtrack will completely sweep you away. OMG! Barry White.

If you have lived a privileged life resulting from family heritage — or are a working girl who made good and led a privileged life based on your smarts — and you regularly kissed the ground landing in Italia, you will be swooning.

Personally, Anne is destroyed with this campaign video.

Vogue Italia's June 2025 Fendi Focus Is Timely As LVMH Titans 'Up the Ante'

Vogue Italia's June 2025 Fendi Focus Is Timely As LVMH Titans 'Up the Ante'

LVMH Titans Vuitton and Dior Create a Super Brands Team

I see these two LVMH titan brands — Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior — as bookends in this critical luxury business moment.

LVMH has a serious poker hand: Celine will debut in July with its new designer Michael Rider. The word in financial circles is that Loro Piana has edged out Celine in the 2.25-2.5 billion range.

If Fendi will meet the divine, luxury-brand goddess, LVMH financial rainmaker for real — in Rome, where her heart and spirit want to be, this team is playing on steroids, in this high-pressure, no mistakes allowed business moment.

All Roads Lead to Rome, But About Avignon . . .

Especially because AOC is so deep in writing about the Crusades, the birth of humanism and now Pope Leo as a foil to MAGA Republicans, my jaw-dropped as low as it ever has, when Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton Women roared into Avignon last week.

When LV roared out of town, the world’s biggest luxury brand had delivered a big message to all parties. To AOC LV said:

“For crying out loud, Anne. You love that our Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris has Adam, Eve and Lilith installed in a relief. Do you seriously think that the French were not deeply involved in the launch of the Renaissance?

If we’re in another historical moment that changes the course of history, France is center stage. Capeesh?

We had to move the Papacy to Avignon from 1309 to 1377, because Rome looked like a MAGA rally on January 6, 2021. Why don’t you write up that story, Anne!”

Trust me, guys. It’s all in the hopper.   ~ Anne

Tiffany Blue Is Star of Fendi X Tiffany Winter Campaigns by Johnny Dufort

Tiffany Blue Is Star of Fendi X Tiffany Winter Campaigns by Johnny Dufort

Technically-speaking this fashion campaign is about Fendi’s x Tiffany winter-drop two weeks before the holidays. Yet the power of a color — Tiffany Blue — defines it’s larger message and impact. The campaign is promoted almost solely by Fendi.

Trademarked as a color in 1998, and added as an official color to the Pantone system in 2001 [use governed exclusively by Tiffany], the color was trademarked in every classification.

Maverick artist Stuart Semple dared Tiffany & Co to sue him, when he liberated Tiffany Blue in 2021, creating Tiff.

Most IP lawyers agree that Tiffany would have won a lawsuit against Semple. The question was if they really wanted to sue artists — famous and not famous — the audience who bought the soldout Tiff acrylic paint at once.

The answer is no.

Fendi Pops Into NYC Soho for 25th Anniversary Baguette Celebration

Fendi Pops Into NYC Soho for 25th Anniversary Baguette Celebration

Fendi [IG] has popped into New York City for a holiday celebration of the Winter Capsule 2022 - 25th Anniversary Baguette Collection. Located at 90 Prince Street in Soho, the shop will be open until December 23.

Created by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997, the baguette bag became a phenom attached to Sarah Jessica Parker and ‘Sex and the City’, who famously said “This is not a bag—it’s a Baguette.”

In addition to providing color inspo, the LVMH Tiffany & Co brand was brought into the anniversary celebration to provide diamond baguettes for the Fendi baguettes. The constant cross-pollination of the LVMH brands always adds an extra bit of verve to these events.
