Luxury fashion house FENDI merges high fashion with whimsical elements, presenting the Astrology Summer 2023 Beachwear Capsule Collection with a Mediterranean luxury flavor.

Artistic Director Fendi womenswear and couture Kim Jones chooses top model Irina Shayk to showcase the new capsule. Steven Meisel IG] — who has a full dance card this season — is behind the lens, creating a retro, 1960s travel poster vibe.

Inspired by zodiac signs — and especially the zodiac prints of former Fendi designer, the late Karl Lagerfeld and the Spring/Summer 1990 and 1993 collections — FENDI's new collection blends richly-dusty hues, intricate designs and premium materials to create a modern but not too trendy beachwear experience.

The astrological prints were originally sketched by Lagerfeld.

The beachwear features a combination of FENDI's signature FF logo, playful illustrations of zodiac signs in English and Italian and dazzling embellishments, such as sequins and luxurious fabrics.

Fabrics include crocheted dresses with double-F emblems, cozy cashmere sweaters, form-fitting, linear viscose pieces, sun-bleached denim, silk jerseys, and the iconic Peekaboo and Baguette purses in white leather or embroidered with astrological motifs. Recycled Lycra is used in the swimwear. Refined natural straw and raffia are abundant in accessories.

From kimono-style cover-ups and long knit dresses to one-piece and two-piece swimsuits, FENDI’s Astrology Summer 2023 collection offers a range of beach-goddess-inspired, strolling around Portofino fashion.
