FENTY R6.20-DROP1 Campaign Lensed by Lea Colombo Honors Rebellious Creative Aesthetic
Rihanna’s Fenty luxury brand brightens spirits today June 11, with “Release 6-20”, the first of three separate drops across June. Lensed by London-based, South Africa born photographer Lea Colombo, the campaign’s focus is models, artists and musicians who “embody the bright spark energy of the release.”
They include Amrit Kaur, Assa Baradji, Coucou Chloe, Daniel Gonzalez, Lilan Barru, and Mao Xiaoxing./ Art direction by Jean-Baptiste Talbourdet and Lolita Jacobs; casting direction from Samuel Ellis Scheinman. Video direction by Julien Pujol and Roberto Colombo.
“In a time where fighting for global freedoms takes center stage, this release speaks to a generation that is a different kind of creative, and a different kind of rebellious,” says Fenty’s press release. The collection honors “decades of youth aesthetics and styles that emerged during periods of steep social change, each act of the month-long release celebrates a different facet of youth, expressed through varied style cues.”
The collection is long on psychedelic, tie-dye prints, baggy rave silhouettes, grunge hoodies and asymmetric dresses. The campaign will continue into July.

Héloïse Guérin by Victor Demarchelier 'Intimacy' for Vogue Greece May 2020
French model Héloïse Guérin is photographed by Victor Demarchelier as one of three couples in lockdown and sharing their private lives with Vogue Greece’s May 2020 ‘Love Will Keep Us Safe’ issue. The other two couples are Julia Van Os by Max Papendiek and Sasha Pivovarova by Igor Vishnyakov.
The couple is quarantined with daughters Alice and Sophie at a cottage outside of New York, owned for years b the Demarchelier family. Guérin now paints every day the garden, the house, everything that inspires her - adapting to the rules of a life different from the intensity and competitiveness of New York.
"It's shocking what's going on,” Demarchelier shares with Vogue Greece. “ I wish everyone would come out stronger when it's over. I try to maintain his creativity, I take a lot of photos of his family and I find there something pure and powerful that keeps you going ", Victor admits.

Kaia is doing just splendidly in her growth as a model, and we particularly love the way her mind is growing exponentially. Her evolution moves her into the subset of young models who care about brainiac topics, human connections and global issues — all topics that matter.
Does Kaia have ‘Mighty Aphrodite’ status just now? The answer resides in the eye of the beholder is probably the best answer. Arguing with myself, I do believe that feminine influence (if it survives gender-bending) will rise out of the ashes of these moments in our global pandemic world. In that respect, Kaia’s character and attitude may be a harbinger of positive evolutions on the horizon. Here’s hoping. ~ Anne
