Carmen Dell’Orefice, age 91, delivers a show-stopping, breathtaking cover for the April 2023 issue of Vogue Czechoslovakia. Legendary photographer Albert Watson [IG] shot Carmen, who made her first magazine cover in 1947.
"When I photographed Carmen, it was possible to feel a certain line going back to the nineties, eighties, seventies, sixties and even the fifties. There was a sense of history from her, she radiates it," recounts the Scottish maestro.

What a gift Vogue Arabia has given to the world — this exquisitely beautiful fashion story in the March 2023 issue. My senses are in total overload and my heart is filled with gratitude to all the creative talent and energy assembled here.
The art collage of model Abuk Adier with Art Factory Studio [their website] posing with paintings by Rashid Al Khalifa [link] raises my pulse with expectations. The artist is interviewed on Vogue Arabia. Currently, he is the chairman of the National Council of the Arts and is honorary chairman of the Bahrain Arts Society.
This is just such a gorgeous gift to the world, and I love how Vogue Arabia weaves art into the fashion narrative. We’re seeing more of that at Global Vogue as well. But Vogue Arabia has a fantastic mission of educating readers about their world, and I appreciate the strategy tremendously. These images are burned into my brain, they are so intoxicating. ~ Anne

Lynette Nylander sits down with Schafer in New York, six years after their first interview. At the time, the journalist was writing about new changemakers. Hunter Schafer, then age 18, was an emerging voice in the fight for trans rights. I learned that she was an early contributor to Tavi Gevinson’s blogging site ‘Rookie’.
Because AOC is politically-involved, we actually followed and wrote about her trans fight to transition in North Carolina — before we wrote about her as a model and then actor.
‘It was my [modelling] agency that told me about the audition for Euphoria,’ she says [to ELLE]. ‘I think every trans girl at the time got the call. They asked me to come in for a reading, but I wasn’t looking for it.’
