Elizabeth Debicki's Thorny Beauty in La Rose Dior 2023 Jewelry Campaign

Australian actor and brand ambassador since 2021 for Dior Joaillerie, Elizabeth Debicki is the face of the November-released La Rose Dior 2023 [IG] campaign.

Photographer Julien Martinez Leclerc [IG] captures the sparkling diamonds and captivating gemstones that dazzle in advance of the holidays, defining the design DNA of the Rose Dior Bagatelle and Bois de Rose jewels.

The Bois de Rose pieces reveal pure, organic forms of rose stems and their thorns, conceived by creative director Victoire de Castellane.

This seeming contradiction between extreme beauty and self-protection in the wild surely impacted Debicki’s awareness of how the campaign is a sophisticated reflection of her current role as Princess Diana in ‘The Crown’.

Elizabeth Debicki says that shooting the sixth season of ‘The Crown’ and the death of Princess Diana was “a really unpleasant experience.”

In particular, acting her way through the final hours of Diana’s August 31, 1997 death in Paris was “heavy”. The psychological terror of being hounded by paparazzi was “heavy and very manic and incredibly invasive.”
