Pooja Mor in Bvlgari High Jewelry for Numéro New York Premier Issue Fall 2025

Celebrated Indian top model Pooja Mor’s life took a major turn away from her Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, northern India origins over a decade ago.

When the possibility of an international, high-fashion modeling career danced before her information-technology-engineering advanced student eyes, the always creative Mor grabbed the brass ring of fame and fortune. Following short features in Vogue India, Pooja Mor walked Nicolas Ghesquière's show for Louis Vuitton Cruise '16 in Palm Springs, California.

It would be an exaggeration to say that Pooja Mor had arrived with the LV Cruise show. But she was well on her way in executing a 180-degree turn into her new future.

Bvlgari in Numéro New York Debut Issue

We see Pooja Mor now, in the September 2025, premier issue of Numéro New York [IG] in this Bvlgari [IG] fashion story. Lensed by Emma Louise Swanson [IG], Pooja was styled by Numéro New York fashion director Alexander Fisher, with creative direction by Olivia Windisch./ Makeup by Dotti; hair by Brent Lawler

“I come from a very traditional, spiritual Indian family,” Mor explained in a Grazia Singapore interview. “I was trained to practise meditation as a kid. My dad would put me in a room—he used to teach yoga—and he would say, ‘You need to know your heart, you need to know what’s going on in your head.’ The foundation of the practice helped me observe rather than react to things. A part of its belief that I still hold onto is the idea that everything comes from the Divine and beautiful things are given to us to share with people: joy, beauty, art.”

This mantra about creating joy, beauty and art for the world, coupled with her father’s lessons around meditation, helped to steady Pooja Mor’s focus when she first arrived in New York City. Also, Pooja was age 23 when she launched her career as a model. Mor was considerably older than the age 14-16 models making their way to New York City with and without their mothers. They, too, had their eye on the prize.
