LV makes a big move putting Gisele Bundchen front and center in a second, historical collaboration with revered Japanese creative Yayoi Kusama, one of the world’s pre-eminent artists at age 93.
“One of the aspects of her [Yayoi Kusama’s] work is happiness, and we thought it would be really refreshing after the pandemic to have the worlds of Vuitton and the world of Kusama meet again,” Arnault explained. The successful first collaboration between the two global giants happened in 2012.

For the first time in its 80-year history, the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has rescinded the highly-valued, prestigious honorary doctorate it awarded to Kanye West in 2015.
In an email sent to members of the SAIC community today, the school’s president Elissa Tenny cited Ye’s recent “disturbing behaviors” and “dangerous statements” as the reasons behind the decision.
“His anti-Black, antisemitic, and incendiary statements, particularly those directed at Black and Jewish communities, are disgusting and condemnable,” Tenny wrote. “His words and actions have been painful for our entire community and, particularly, for those of us who feel that our identities and life experiences are under attack.”

The human desire for self-adornment is universal, and writing about copper jewelry trends should be a snap for most people. Not for Anne. I can make writing needlessly complicated, but in this case, the writing took me back to the continuously-revealing story of women’s history.

Unlike Nike’s Michael Jordan standalone partnership, where the two groups are separate but both flying under the Nike banner, the Adidas - Kanye West relationship was run under the Adidas organization. Separate teams were created for the Yeezy business, but the staff was Adidas for the most part.
According to Rolling Stone, the Adidas employees claimed that senior managers were aware of West’s “problematic behaviour” but “turned their moral compass off” and failed to protect its employees against “years of verbal abuse, vulgar tirades, and bullying attacks.”

Republican 2024 presidential wannabe Mike Pompeo called Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers and a member of the AFL–CIO, “the most dangerous person in the world.”
If you ask, “Who’s the most likely to take this republic down?” It would be the teacher’s unions, and the filth that they’re teaching our kids, and the fact that they don’t know math and reading or writing.
Note the use of the word ‘filth’ in referring to America’s school curriculums. That word really got my attention because it’s one deeply associated — actually programmed into our brains — with our political views.

Late Friday, Nov 4, NIKE suspended its relationship with Kyrie Irving, including the introduction of his new NIKE KYRIE 8 shoe. ESPN reported last May that dealings with Kyrie Irving were so complex for Nike, that there was a good chance that Nike would not renew his contract at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Nike has produced Irving’s popular signature shoe since 2014 and is taking the financial hit on cancelling the Kyrie 8 launch.
“At Nike, we believe there is no place for hate speech, and we condemn any form of antisemitism,” the company said.
