Yayoi Kusama, Age 93, Rolls Again with Louis Vuitton

LV makes a big move putting Gisele Bundchen front and center in a second, historical collaboration with revered Japanese creative Yayoi Kusama, one of the world’s pre-eminent artists at age 93.

LVMH’s Louis Vuitton executive vice president Delphine Arnault oversees all product-related activities for the luxury brand. Arnault describes the collaboration as two perfection-obsessed, design studios joining their creative brain functions in “concept, execution and craft”.

“One of the aspects of her [Yayoi Kusama’s] work is happiness, and we thought it would be really refreshing after the pandemic to have the worlds of Vuitton and the world of Kusama meet again,” Arnault explained. The successful first collaboration between the two global giants happened in 2012.

Steven Meisel Is Behind the Lens

Gisele Bundchen is joined by top models Anok Yai and Fei Fei Sun who are photographed by legendary photographer Steven Meisel. THIS is a championship team of creative talent that leaves us wondering about the full campaign rolling in January 2023.

What we do know is that original supermodel Christy Turlington will be joining the campaign, along with Devon Aoki and Liya Kebede, in a big global rollout coming soon.
