Rafael Linares styles Sampaio in core jewelry pieces from the Cartier Trinity collection, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024. This iconic series was conceived by Louis Cartier, the grandson of the founder. The style revolution in jewelry design was not baptized as the ‘Trinity’ collection until years later.
Town & Country praised the design as one of “radical simplicity in an age of excess”. It was modern, mechanical and futuristic in its design, and an ode to individual style by the strong, confident multi-gendered personalities who wore ‘Trinity’ jewelry. Additionally, Trinity introduced luxury jewelry houses like Cartier to the appetite for fine jewelry among the growing middle class.
The Trinity collection is renowned for its simple yet profound concept: three interlaced bands of yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold. Each color represents a different quality - fidelity (white), friendship (yellow), and love (rose), making the Trinity ring much more than a piece of jewelry; it's a token of life's most cherished values.
In this period of quiet luxury as an important sector of fashion, Trinity’s beloved lack of conspicuous consumption is an important values-driven, anti-glitz message. It's a narrative on how simplicity can birth timeless beauty and quiet emotion —a principle that continues to guide Cartier’s creations today.
Sara Sampaio in Next ‘Superman’
Turning now to our model Sara Sampaio, she is interviewed by Rachel Sigee for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. The Portuguese talent now has her focus set firmly on Hollywood, where she’s stepping into the role of Eve Teschmacher in writer and director James Gunn’s upcoming ‘Superman’ film.
With a current release date of July 11, 2025, Superman embarks on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.
Valerie Perrine played Lex Luthor's assistant and love interest Miss Eve Teschmacher in the 1978 film ‘Superman’ and the 1980 sequel ‘Superman II.’ Now the role is Sampaio’s.
Lex Luthor is a businessman and arch-nemesis of Superman.
With this exciting role, Sampaio is firmly fixated on conquering Hollywood. “Acting was always what I wanted to do… I was a very dramatic child,” she says.
Sampaio and her boyfriend Ray Nicholson made their red carpet debut as a couple at the recent Vanity Fair Oscars party. The pair have been together for about 10 months. Nicholson is also an actor, the son of Hollywood royalty Jack Nicholson, and the couple is very discreet about what they share. “He’s very private, I’m very private,” says Sampaio. “There’s always going to be interest from the public and we understand that. All we’ve got to do is just live our lives and show what we feel comfortable showing.”
It seems that with Sara Sampaio, the best is yet to come.
