Christy Turlington for YSL Fall 2009 Manifesto

Christy Turlington for Yves Saint Laurent’s autumn/winter 2009-10 Manifesto, photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh MatadinThe simply fabulous Christy Turlington appears in the fifth edition of YSL Manifesto Fall Winter 2009/10 Womenswear.

Here’s a teaser:

The season’s new collection, as photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, has evolved into a website housing the video and past manifesto compaigns starring Kate, Claudia and Naomi.

Over 500,000 copies of the YSL Manifesto are in distribution on the streets of London, Paris, Milan, New York and now Seoul. I find the website a little choppy, but that’s point … YSL goes a little guerilla.

Christy Turlington for YSL ManifestoAt 40, Christy Turlington’s career is hardly in let-up mode. Last month American Vogue put her on the cover, with news of her latest foray into activism — global maternal health. Turlington will release next year her new documentary called “No Woman, No Cry”, shot in Tanzania, Bangladesh, Guatemala and eventually America.

This mom with two children — Grace, 5, and Finn, 3 —  is working on her master’s degree in public health at Columbia University in New York. She has severed her relationship with Puma and their line of yoga wear called Nuala.
