If you’ve never read a Billie Eilish interview, then this one is for you.

Written by Jonathan Heaf, it’s long and very in-depth. In 2019 at age 17, Billie Ailish’s album sold more than any other in America and she hit six billion streams on Spotify. This year she is tagged as the youngest artist to win four Grammys at once. And her classic Bond theme ‘No Time To Die’ morphs into a Boomer-approved musical panorama with widespread appeal.

At this moment (6/16/2020 2:07 PM) Billie Eilish is in a rage over the Friday night murder of Rayshard Brooks in Atlanta. Generally-speaking Eilish has joined the army of white people disgusted with white people. AOC has been in that camp since our founding in 2007, and we’re devoted to turning the tide of racism in America and beyond.

Having lowered her profile on social media because the relentless criticism of her made her truly suicidal in 2018, Billie Eilish pulled no punches recently in addressing the problematic phrase “all lives matter”. Expressing her full support for the Black Lives Mater movement, Eilish explained to her 63 million Instagram followers why saying “all lives matter” in response to “Black lives matter” is racist.

“If I hear one more white person say ‘All Lives Matter’ one more f*cking time, I’m going to lose my f*cking mind,” she said.

“No one is saying your life doesn’t matter,” Eilish continued. “No one is saying your life is not hard.” She added: “No one is saying literally anything about you.”

Critics of the phrase “all lives matter” say that it refocuses conversations about social justice onto white people, making them the co-equally injured party in sharing life’s adversities.

“This is not about you,” reiterated Eilish. “Stop making everything about you. You are not in need. You are not in danger.”
