Lady Spitfire Hollywood Production Company

Alba has multiple balls in the air, a reality that she has lived for years. In addition to her ‘Honest Renovation’ show with Lizzy Mathis, founder of TheCoolMom.Co. [watch video], Jessica Alba announced this week that she is partnering with producer Tracey Nyberg on a new production company with a great name: Lady Spitfire. Love it!

“I feel it is my duty to make it easier for dreams to be realized and potential to be met for women and minorities, particularly those in my community,” Alba explained in the announcement. In fact, ‘Honest Renovations’ is shooting its second season as a Lady Spitfire property.

A Rough Ride at The Honest Company

The Honest Company went public in 2021 with a valuation more than $1.4 billion. Alba’s share was valued at nearly $130 million. The founder remains very closely connected to the company due to her massive social media following and name recognition.

However, 2022 was a very difficult year for the company with massive supply-chain challenges and Alba’s own wealth was seriously impacted by a stock price that plummeted from an opening IPO price of $23 a share to an April 2022 share price of $4.52. On Thursday this week, Honest Company stock is trading at $3.35.

There are some indicators that Honest may be stabilizing it revenues.

The interview doesn’t touch on any of these realities, in which Jessica Alba has experienced a very rough ride and probably has much acquired wisdom to share with other entrepreneurs and working women alike. Of course, who wants to discuss problems in an interview designed to move product.
