Brunello Cucinelli Business Results 2025
In mid-July the Solomeo, Italy brand said that sales grew 10.2 percent in the first half of 2025. "As for profitability, by the end of the year, we will slightly improve our profitability. And we are very happy about that," Brunello Cucinelli told analysts during the first-half conference call, per WWD.
In 2024, Cucinelli reported a 19.5 percent rise in profit to 128.5 million euros.
Brunello Cucinelli’s Commitment to Italy
Always the philosopher, one of the world’s most important humanists commented about his obligations to shareholders and his equally important obligations to Italy, also reported by WWD.
"The fact is that we have an Italian company pay taxes in Italy... this is our struggle, you know, with regard to improving the profits. We will never bring or transfer our company to the Netherlands, to Luxembourg," Cucinelli added.
Cucinelli explained that his motivation for staying in Italy is in large part to support the wider supply chain. "We are serious Italian entrepreneurs who believe in made-in-Italian manufacturing with high-end craftsmanship, high-end exclusivity, high-end quality. We want to work on a local level in Italy."
The Cucinelli Brand in International Markets Is Strong
Cucinelli’s business in Asia rose 12.5 percent in the first half of 2025. In the European market, sales grew 10 percent, with the Americas — Cucinelli’s biggest market — growing 8.7 percent.
Cucinelli Commitment to Italian Production
The company has restored a new production site in Solomeo, completing the work eight months ahead of schedule. This new facility will “guarantee production until 2035.”
AOC is curious to research Brunello Cucinelli’s views on managing production in Italy. In the international competition between Cucinelli and Loro Piana, Cucinelli appears to be more ‘hands on’ than Loro, who is more reliant on contractors.
