Sydney Sweeney's Tory Burch Miller Sandals Pass the Convertible Breakdown Test

In April Tory Burch and Sydney Sweeney announced that the ‘Euphoria’ actor had become Tory Burch’s new ambassador, representing the brands bags and shoes. At the time, Sweeney spoke to the admiration that so many of us have for Tory Burch, when she said:

“I’ve been a fan of her clothing and accessories for years, and I admire her tireless work to support women. I’m inspired not only by Tory’s vision and the business she has built, but also by her kindness and philanthropy. I am so looking forward to the beautiful partnership and meaningful conversations to come.”

Just out is a new digital ad campaign for Tory Burch’s Miller sandals.

The iconic Miller sandals are shown on Sweeney as she hits the road in a baby-blue vintage convertible, paying homage to the early Aughts heritage of the cult-favorite sandals.

The actor and producer packs Millers in every style, from the original sandal in topstitched vachetta leather to the new Miller Soft with a cushioned sole. Changing the tire becomes a fashion runway moment. Sweeney reportedly collaborated on her fashion image, photographed with Millers in classic black and ivory, clementine, cherry and metallic gold, married to cut-off shorts, bra tops and matching knit sets.

Photographer Charlotte Wales [IG] photographed the campaign in the Los Angeles desert, to the 1982 Missing Persons song, “Walking in L.A.” Mel Ottenberg worked with Sweeney on styling.

Sweeney is lucky that she didn’t cause a California earthquake changing that tire. Watch the video. Rumor has it that the actor adores, collects and restores vintage cars herself.

“The Millers are our most loved summer sandals, and I was thrilled to work on this free-spirited video with Sydney. The campaign highlights all of the reasons people live in their Millers: They’re timeless, super comfortable and make a bold statement,” said Tory Burch, executive chairman and chief creative officer of Tory Burch LLC.

As if Tory Burch doesn’t have enough on her plate, she is earing a doctorate in organizational learning at the University of Pennsylvania, her alma mater.
