‘The Fifth Element’ is considered to be one of the sci-fi classics of the 1990s. The film did very well internationally but didn’t break records in America. All agree that the film provided major inspo for Besson’s 2017 ‘Valerian’ with Cara Delevigne.

Lara Mullen Poses for Txema Yeste in 'La Pionniere' for Numero December 2021
/Model Lara Mullen poses for photographer Txema Yeste [IG] in ‘La Pionnière’, perhaps an unintended commentary on the fight for women’s rights for the last 13,000 years. AOC tries not to assume artistic motive and message.
Upon further reflection, Mullen may be channeling Furiosa in the Mad Max spinoff. Or Joan of Arc. Whatever the inspo, AOC loves the fashion story— especially arrows in Mullen’s gut. A full-frontal attack.
Art affects each of us differently; and the sad part of this fashion story for AOC is that American women are going backwards. And ‘yes’, that makes young women joining the fight ‘pioneers’ in what is a sad state of global affairs, frankly.

Photographer Txema Yeste [IG] captures the fashion imagery that envelopes Ursula Corbero, who is busy reinventing herself with her leap to Hollywood.”
Corberó is new to English-speaking audiences, having only learned to speak the language two years ago. We would never know this fact, after watching her in ‘Snake Eyes’ earlier this summer. W Magazine writes that “Corberó had even herself fooled. Speaking over Zoom from her apartment in Madrid, she recalls her reaction upon seeing her final performance: “Who is this person? You liar!”
Clearly, Ursula Corbero is a woman to watch.
