Emily Ratajkowski in Serious Menswear by Cass Bird for Vogue Turkey April 2025

Believe me, AOC is not trying to make trouble for Vogue Turkey [IG], in a country with anti-government protests going on against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

America expects major anti-Trump, anti-Musk, anti-MAGA - protests all over the nation today, Saturday April 5th, and we’re not throwing shade at Turkey in any way.

Platinum-level model, influencer, businesswoman, mother, writer and proud feminist Emily Ratajkowski is styled by Sandy Armeni in sharply-tailored menswear in classic colors. Photographer Cass Bird [IG] is behind the lens, creating strong images of the platinum-level lady ballbreaker.

Looking at Ratajkowski’s images with respect, I said to myself “Emrata is a platinum level ballbreaker!”

What’s a Ballbreaker, Anne?

A ballbreaker is a woman, whose character and behavior may be regarded as threatening a man's sense of power.

Now don’t jump to conclusions about ballbreakers. The best among us can be absolutely charming. We are good mothers and devoted friends. We like clothes — including clothes with sex appeal like menswear with ties.

We are very married or with long-term partners in millions of cases. It’s these very qualities that make us appealing — including to powerful men.

We are True Grit women with backbone, and most of us would rather spend a night in jail, than cry in public. We do get teary-eyed in emotionally-moving moments that inspire — rather than threaten — us. We are empaths in a majority of cases.

Stay tuned for more Ballbreaker News. Meanwhile, sending big love to Emrata [IG].

Crackdown [Again] in Turkey

On March 19, the Turkish president detained the mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu, from the secular Republican People's Party (CHP), days before his assumed nomination as a candidate in the next presidential election. Imamoglu is seen as one of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's strongest political rivals.

Turkey’s police detained 100 other people - including other politicians, journalists and businessmen - and the Istanbul governor's office has imposed four days of restrictions in the city. The BBC reports this morning that many journalists are leaving Turkey.

Imamoglu said online "the will of the people cannot be silenced". AOC will update this post after the weekend events in America and Turkey.
