Both women report to Anna Wintour, Vogue’s global editorial director and Condé Nast chief content officer, and Vogue European editorial director Edward Enninful.

These Understated Brides Exchanged Vows In A Simple Slip Dress And A Custom White Suit British Vogue
Neither Katie Robertson nor her fiancée Sophie Chew wanted to wear a traditional “bride-y” dress for their alfresco wedding. It’s not the case that they sought to forego elegance, refinement and sophistication. Rather the couple sought fashion statements that reflected their own values and approach to living a quality life.
For Katie, a buyer at Urban Outfitters, a simple slip dress that chimed with her pared-back aesthetic. Robertson summed up her choice with one critical phrase: “I didn’t want to not look like myself.” Galvan’s lithe slip dress gown met her every desire as the perfect canvas to showcase her own stunning beauty.
Sophie Chew’s dream wedding dress wasn’t a dress at all. Nor was it a traditional tuxedo. Katie recalls. “We quickly realised that there’s actually not a tonne of sexy, Stella McCartney-style suiting for women out there that’s [financially] accessible.” Sophie was referred to Nikeen Asar, who founded his bridal label, Asar, in 2019. “Sophie met up with him and he went on to design her incredible three-piece suit,” says Katie.
