Beyoncé's Western Luxury in W Magazine Digital Story by Pamela Hanson

Beyoncé [IG] is not performing at Coachella in 2024, but she made her presence known at 4pm Saturday, when a small plane entered the airspace above the festival grounds in Indio, Calif. Towing a simple banner: red stripe, “COWBOY CARTER,” blue stripe, the spirit of Beyoncé was in the house.

Queen Bey was the first Black woman to headline Coachella in 2018 — at the height of her documentary ‘Homecoming’ honoring America’s HBCU’s, complete with their best marching bands in the world.

Fast forward to April 2024 with her latest global Renaissance Tour edition behind her, Beyoncé has launched a new project around country music and Black Cowboys in America. The history is far more interesting — and integrated — than most Americans understand.

AOC has narrated the American cowboy story for years, most recently inspired by Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Men’s FW 2024 show in January 2024. Now his good friend from Houston is flying high on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. The woman with the most awards in Grammy history holds the No.1 spot for the 8th week running with ‘Texas Hold Em’. Beyoncé is the first Black woman to achieve this goal on the Billboard Hot Country chart.

On Friday March 29, the star released the follow-up ‘Act II’ of her seventh studio album, subtitled ‘Cowboy Carter’. A second previously-released, chart-reaching single ‘16 Carriages’ is also on ‘Act II’.

Here we find Beyoncé looking mighty fine with two digital covers and a fashion story in W Magazine, released March 29, 2024. Sara Moonves and Shiona Turini style America’s finest-looking cowboy femme in western luxury gone fine-tailoring from custom Louis Vuitton Men [lead image] created by Pharrell.

The second cover is an Alexander McQueen coat. The damn sexy chaps are from Sportmax; a white blanket and dress from Proenza Schouler. Black lace dress from Gucci.

Jewelry brands include Cartier High Jewelry, De Beers, Dries Criel, Lisa Eisner Jewelry, Tiffany & Co, Van Cleef & Arpels and more.
