Kaia’s book club is back in session, as is her acting career. In her D la Repubblica interview, Gerber speaks about personalities who have seriously influenced her. One is Jane Birkin, the last of the cool girls: everything she did or wore became the sign of her unconventionality. Another is Jane Fonda and her career as a dedicated activist and now environmentalist.

As for her mother Cindy Crawford, the two women are known to be very close. “I think I realized who she was on my eighth birthday: we were at Disneyland and, while I wanted all the photos with the princesses, people lined up to take just one: with her.”

Not only are they close as family, but also as serious-talking intellectual partners — and that is very special.
