Chanel Pre-Fall 2023 Dakar Campaign and Artisans-Artists Exhibit in Paris Thru July 30

Chanel [IG] shares Pre-Fall 2023 campaign imagery supporting the luxury brand’s Métiers d’Art collection show in Dakar, Senegal with styling by Ib Kamara [IG].

Starring models Amar Akway and Rianne van Rompaey, photographer Mikael Jansson [IG] captured the duo in Dakar.

EIC Kamara also oversaw Dazed’s editorial coverage post-Chanel Métiers d’Art show of events in Dakar and also onto Paris. Among these was an exhibition courtesy of Chanel’s artistic hub la Galerie du 19M.

Entitled ’Sur le fil’, the exhibition opened in January in Dakar and featured 38 different works across many disciplines including sculpture, painting, photography and fashion. 

After three months in Senegal, the exhibition headed north to Paris, where it’s now open thru July 30, 2023 at the the Galerie du 19M in Paris / Aubervilliers: "On the wire: from Dakar to Paris" [IG]. Attendance is free with a reservation. RESERVE on this link.
