Jessica Chastain Will Present Trophée Chopard at Cannes Film Festival July 9
/Actor and two-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain will return to the 2021 Cannes International Film Festival to announce the winner of the Trophée Chopard on the 20th anniversary of the award. The male and female winners of the “revelation” prize for emerging talent will be announced at a dinner Thursday, July 9 in Cannes, hosted by Chopard co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele.
The “revelation” prize has a stellar track record of highlighting emerging talent. Past winners of the female actor Trophée Chopard include Anya Taylor-Joy, Diane Kruger, Florence Pugh, Marion Cotillard and Shailene Woodley.
Chastain joins Cate Blanchett, Charlize Theron, Julianne Moore, and Juliette Binoche on the list of presenters. Spike Lee heads this year’s 2021 Cannes Film Festival. He will be joined by Maggie Gyllenhaal in watching the 24 films in this year’s competition. Jodie Foster will be the guest of honor at the opening ceremony on Tuesday, July 6.
On July 7 Chopard will bring an abundance of dazzle to the legendary Croisette, unveiling its nature-inspired Paradise collection. The 74 pieces will celebrate the age of the Cannes Festival
