Penelope Cruz Covers Elle España February 2018, Donates Golden Globe Gown To 'Time's Up'

Nasty Woman Penelope Cruz covers the Newsstand (in color) and subscriber's cover of Elle España February 2018, lensed by Xavi Gordo. 

Cruz is in the news for her role playing Donatella Versace in FX's "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story' miniseries, airing 10 pm Wednesdays. 

Penelope, had her doubts about playing Donatella, the designing superstar and brother of slain fashion icon Gianni Versace. Cruz, who herself speaks with a rich and distinctive Spanish accent, struggled some to transform her speech into Donatella's vibrant Italian voice.

“No one speaks like her. She has such a strong personality,”  Cruz told the Today show. “Finding the voice was the basis of everything. I had to find that first. Until the day I found it, I didn’t feel like I was able to capture the essence of this woman.”

An ardent feminist, Cruz will be auctioning off her black Golden Globes gown from Ralph & Russo in support of 'Time's Up'.
