Anne Joins #MeToo: Harvey Weinstein Case Prompts Thousands To Tell Their Own Stores Of Abuse

The idea was launched by actor Alyssa Milanto, who took to Twitter on Sunday , urging any women who have been seually harassed or assaulted to write two words on Twitter: "Me too."

“If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote ‘Me too’ as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem,” wrote the actor, who is known for her roles in “Who’s the Boss?,” “Melrose Place” and “Charmed,” and as a host on “Project Runway All Stars.”

The Washington Post followed the results, writing that by 4am Monday, more than 200,000 #metoo tweets were published on Twitter. On Facebook, nearly 80,000 people were talking about #MeToo, often sharing their own accounts of sexual harassment.

This is my account:

1) Raped at 16 by parents best friend. Priest told me it was my fault; parents agreed.

2) 2x walking on Fifth Ave in NYC at 9am and noon, guys ran up behind me and stuck their hands up my skirts, into my private parts.

3) Was in my business partner's office about 6:30 in evening. Everyone had gone home. I had a live-in partner; he was engaged. I was standing up making a point about a contract we were working on. He was sitting in his big leather chair. Next thing I knew I was in his lap and he was kissing me voraciously. Of course, I refused his advances, but it really put us on a bad footing with each other. Then I found out he was stealing from me -- and I rained money on our business. So the golden goose walked.

4-10) Guys masturbating -- literally c#ck exposed to me as I read a book on the NYC subway and didn't notice until we got to my station. I really cursed him out.

Guys pressing up against me on crowded subway trains so hard that I could feel their erections. They come behind you and are taller, so your hands are on the pole and they place theirs above yours and lean in. I'm talking totally packed trains. No, I didn't curse them out, although I stepped on one guy's foot with my high heel and he yelled.

11) Was traveling on business with a good Catholic guy. Five kids. We got along great at work and he definitely advanced my career. Returning to our rooms after dinner, they were next door. He grabbed my arms and was holding me at the door. I wasn't about to get in an argument with him, so I said you have had too much to drink. See you in the am. He was really persistent, holding me tightly by the arms up against the door. Finally he agreed to part.

The next morning I arrived at breakfast in a striking red sheath, sleeveless dress. On my arms were his very visible handprints. He was horrified, as I sat down. "Can't you wear another dress," he said. "No" I replied. I bought this dress for the presentation and I intend to wear it. I was speaking before a large group. "You can't wear that -- it's obvious that you have bruises on your arms. What will people think?" I said "I don't know. Let them think what they want. Don't worry. I won't bust you." Then I ordered my breakfast with a smile on my face.
