'Walk Don't Run' Modern NYC Traffic Madness in Vogue Czech December 2024

Photographer Per Appelgren [IG] has a new look and AOC loves it. A little obvious warmth and inviting humor go a long way in today’s ominous world. There’s no time to read the tea leaves about our own creative identities in a world ‘on fire’ metaphorically-speaking and for real under the umbrella of sustainability.

This fabulous new fashion story with outrageously-witty everything from nail art to shoes appears in the December 2024 issue of Vogue Czech [IG] under title “Walk! Don’t walk!”

Models Lando and Mouna Fadiga stir the pot of human delight, inspired by “a playful and bold approach to classic New York City traffic madness”, styled by Amber Aste./ Hair by Biance Van Zwieten; makeup by Björn Mohamadmoesman; set design Gini Grootenboer

Awhile back, AOC was approached about promoting nail art and Anne said ‘no’ for two reasons. 1] She ended up in the emergency room of a hospital with a torn retina, when one of these monster nails flew into her eye from the station next to hers in a nail salon. The nail techs were wearing protective glasses but not the clients. 2] These outrageous nails are not at all sustainable.

However, it would be really interesting to see more stories told through sustainable nail art, as it soars in popularity. Like women’s lives under ‘The 10 Commandments’. Ten fingers; 10 commandments. It all works.

AOC may be rethinking its position on nail art, thanks to this fabulous creative team working with Vogue Czech.
