Mulberry Invites 'Wicked: For Good Star' Cynthia Erivo to Tim Walker Fall 2025 Campaign
/When AOC puts the term Mulberry in Apple News and the top reads include ‘how to get a mulberry tree to fruit’ and restaurateur Chris Sullivan of Mulberry Street Trattoria is planning a Michelin-level restaurant for Bluffton’s Old Town with his mother, your branding challenges are formidable — if you are Britain’s Mulberry leather founded in 1971.
Wisely, Mulberry [IG] has engaged British actor Cynthia Erivo to front its ‘The Mulberry Spirit’ Fall 2025 campaign, lensed by Tim Walker [IG] and styled by Kate Phelan. Henrietta Gallina provided creative direction — and she can be in further assistance in the reinvention process. / Makeup by Joy Adenuga
AOC just looked at Gallina’s November 2024 fashion story for Citizen Magazine with Anne’s #2 fav guy humanist behind Pharrell Williams — Mr. Jon Batiste. Wait, it could be John Legend.
How about AOC’s constellation of the brightest stars humanists in the night sky who identify as men?
Anok Yai’s Takeover of Anne’s Brain and Unconscious
Anne has experienced meteor showers all over her brain in the last week, after writing about Anok Yai’s Perfect Magazine #9 fashion story. I called her “a high priest for humanity” and meant it. You cannot imagine the psychological, spiritual, emotional roller coaster ride I’ve been on for the last week.
It’s another story — except that my Anok Yai-induced psycho drama dropped me off yesterday in the care of Cynthia Erivo and the November 2025 debut of ‘Wicked: For Good’. The trailer is stellar. It’s right up there with Pharrell’s Vatican City Concert 2025, discussed last night when I learned that Deva Cassell’s movie ‘Zero.A.D’ — where she plays the Virgin Mary — had been moved to 2026.
The Humanists Are Lining Up in Formation
Maria Grazia Chiuri, we need you. All roads lead to Rome, as I keep writing.
Rome isn’t called the Eternal City for nothing. You’re running with the humanists now, Chiuri, and we tend to be more circumspect about blowing things up for profit and to make a name for ourselves. Just sayin’.
We’ve got your back — and from the sounds of it, so does new Fendi CEO Ramon Ross, previously President and CEO of Louis Vuitton in Mainland China.
A Real King Charles Taking Action for Good
One real king isn’t trying to make a name for himself on the symbolism deeply embedded in ‘Wicked: For Good’. While Trump is covering 7 million America-lovers who disagree with him with excrement in an AI video this weekend, King Charles is offering a very different example of leadership — and specifically male leadership on a most difficult subject.
In America where Trump’s MAGA insists that slavery was no big deal — and many argue that it was God’s will and a way for African pagans or Muslims to save their souls by converting to Christianity in America — King Charles is using his publicly-expressed sorrow over slavery to support research into the British monarchy’s historical links with transatlantic slave trade.
Please read the words just written. The president of the United States of America is demanding that the image an enslaved man named Peter with mind-boggling scars of brutality on his back be removed from national parks and museums, because it’s not important that America deal with our own past.
Note that this image was a life-changer in launching the abolition movement. But Trump is on the verge of insisting that slavery never happened. It’s an ANTIFA plot to sabotage America and George Soros is paying for it.
Trump fancies hanging out with King Charles. I expect that Trump is clueless about the project underway in Britain, and I assure you that he doesn’t respect this action for a single minute.
Specifically, the research explores all the available documents in the British monarchy’s private archives similar to the one shared in The Guardian, documenting the 1689 transfer of £1,000 of shares in the slave-trading Royal African Company to King William III, from Edward Colston, the company’s deputy governor.
King Charles has given researchers unfettered access to these records, in pursuit of truth. Contrast this historical inquiry into the monarchy’s finances of Britain’s slave trade with Trump’s intention to banish references to slavery across America from museums to school books. Are movies next on Trump’s hit list?
And this is where Mulberry comes back into the picture. Now I never had to brainstorm at Victoria’s Secret when we were poor — because we never were poor in my 10-year run. All systems were go-go-go. Today is another story. For me, I enjoyed few financial restraints. Anne is well aware of the Mulberry financial challenges.
But I fancy the spirit of the King Charles sanctioned history of slavery and the British monarchy initiative is an act all democracy lovers can believe in.
And now we have Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande joining forces together in ‘Wicked: For Good’, opening in America on November 21, 2025 with screenings in select cities beginning November 17.
Do you know they are close friends in real life? “Since at least 2022, Erivo and Grande have gushed about each other, posed together on red carpets and showed off their real-life friendship,” the NBC Today show wrote in November 2024.
The two stars have said that over long periods they speak every day. These two women — one Brit and one American — are riding the wave of everything that matters to modern humanists. It’s what Pope Leo and Pharrell Williams — and Louis Vuitton backing him — believe in.
For Cynthia Erivo, besides this Mulberry campaign, she appeared in the Louis Vuitton SS 2024 campaign. Ariana Grande has few ambassadorships. All AOC knows is that these two women are making for-real magic with the best humanist values in our 2025 complicated world.
One look at that movie trailer, and it’s absolutely clear where the story is going. And it’s perfect pitch.
As Pharrell said at the Vatican concert, we must find grace. AOC adds “because the headwinds are fierce.” Pope Leo’s ancestry touches us all, once you understand it. He is a mixture of EVERYONE. Even Pope Leo has to believe that his appointment is no accident. It’s just incredible to learn his divine story.
The No Kings marches were not about Republicans and Democrats. People came from every political background and nationality in our great country. They want the world to know: THIS IS NOT WHO WE ARE! WE ARE WAY BETTER THAN THIS!
Someone should harness the combined synergy for making ‘good trouble’ with these two women and more humanists onboard. ~ Anne
