Felice Nordhoff in Dolce & Gabbana for Vogue Netherlands September 2023 by Luigi & Iango

Cover model Felice Noordhoff morphs into a sensual supermodel composite, in an exclusive Dolce & Gabbana fashion story for Vogue Netherlands September 2023. Noordhoff is styled by Michael Philouze under fashion director Linda Gumus Gerritsen.

Photographers Luigi & Iango [IG] capture Felice in advance of their upcoming ‘Unveiled’ show at Palazzo Reale in Milan from September 22th to November 26th, 2023.

Luigi & Iango ‘Unveiled’ Show in Milan

Believe it or not, this is the first solo exhibion of the work of the Italian Luigi Murenu [who gave me major encouragement so long ago, I doubt he even remembers] and his Swiss partner Iango Henzi.

They express an honest, sensual intimacy in their images, speaking with a unique devotion to rebellious and fierce women committed to change and challenge to social norms.

Because we’ve followed Luigi & Iango for so long, we know these images of Felice Noordhoff are transformative, widening the range of the lens in how she is perceived by the professional fashion, style, and culture public.

Luigi Murenu gave me major encouragement so long ago, I doubt he even remembers. But we exchanged comments when AOC still accepted them on this very topic.

It was because of this specific female sensuality issue — the need of most religions to control women — that AOC had to shut down comments.

After three days of explosive attacks against me as an advocate for female sensuality, I thought of Luigi when in the midst of my sobbing, AOC had to shut down comments permanently. I’ve spent one year in police protection over this issue years ago. One year is enough.

I did a quick review of our Noordhoff images and found nothing that taps into this visual energy.

Her early career Saint Laurent fashion story for Numéro France September 2019 definitely drifts below the surface into her human intimacy zone.

But in this fashion story for Vogue Netherlands September 2023, Felice Noordhoff connects deeply with the photographers, achieving the prerequisite trust required for this degree of model self-expression and connection.

There’s a major difference between the woman on the cover and she who reigns large in the fashion story.

When the preview images were released last Monday, I noted the ‘nos’ among the so-called fashion critics, who get a rash every time a top female model connects with her sensual essence in this way.

Luigi & Iango are quietly and elegantly defiant in their ongoing sophisticated, elegant, visual presentations that also speak to the complex place of religion in our modern world and in our global history.

Anne loves these two artists for that action, one that gives me personal strength to keep going in the decisive battles for the control of women’s bodies that seem to be closing in on us here in America. ~ Anne
