Li Bingbing Covers Vogue China April Lensed by Chen Man | Margaret Zhang New EIC
/Chinese actor and celebrity Li Bingbing covers the April 2021 issue of Vogue China, styled by Yuhang Yao in lavendar-mood images by Chen Man, working with visual artist Justin Ridler.
Vogue China’s Instagram shares a message on sustainability: “ The futuristic and artistic floral background in the picture is presented through post-production, and the set scenes are all built with recyclable materials. It is hoped that this will send a positive signal: "Using scientific and technological collaboration, the fashion industry can realize amazing ideas while protecting the environment." Combining reality and virtuality, continue to expand new dimensions of sustainable fashion concepts. The world is advancing fast, and the future is unpredictable, but we believe that as long as we have awe and love, we are not afraid of the future.”
The issue debuts with the announcement that Australian-born Chinese talent Margaret Zhang is the new editor-in-chief of Vogue China, replacing Angelica Cheung, who departed in late fourth quarter 2020. Zhang takes the help as the youngest editor-in-chief in Vogue history.
Zhang reports to Anna Wintour, Vogue editor in chief and global editorial director and Condé Nast global chief content officer, who shared these thoughts about her appointment: “I am so delighted that Margaret is our new editor in chief of ‘Vogue’ China. Her international experience, exceptional multiplatform digital expertise, and wide-ranging interests are the perfect combination to lead ‘Vogue ‘China into the future.”
