Carolyn Murphy Fronts Estee Lauder x Met Collection Makeup Campaign
/Top model and Estee Lauder ambassador Carolyn Murphy showcases the brand’s new collaboration with New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art
In April 2013, the philanthropist, art collector and cosmetics tycoon Leonard A. Lauder promised the MET his collection of 78 Cubist paintings, drawings and sculptures. At the time, the collection was valued at more than $1 billion.
“In one fell swoop this puts the Met at the forefront of early-20th-century art,” Thomas P. Campbell, then the Met’s director, said when announcing the gift. “It is an unreproducible collection, something museum directors only dream about.”
The Leonard A. Lauder Cubist Collection now resides at The Metropolitan Museum , which will reopen August 27 and 28 for a members preview. The Museum, closed since March 13, 2020 due to COVID-19 lockdown, will reopen to the public on August 29.
Carolyn Murphy will celebrate her 20th anniversary with Estee Lauder in 2021, writes her IMG agency. Speaking about her longevity in the world of luxury brands as a fashion model, Murphy said
“It’s all about finding the art in fashion”.
This new Estee Lauder x Met Collection Makeup Campaign plays perfectly to Carolyn’s view of life as a personal canvas. I will add that this luxury typically exists as a hallmark of privilege — typically, but not exclusively, white privilege.

100% of the purchase price will go toward the MET
