Jaguar Land Rover’s LR side of the business is performing well, being the primary contributor to impressive 27.1% year-on-year revenue increase in the 12 months ending March 2024, reaching £29.0 billion.
For the next 12 months ending March 2025, the combined business Jaguar and Land Rover was essentially flat. JLR achieved its net debt zero target and is now cash positive. JLR saw a significant increase in global plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sales, with a 21.7% year-over-year increase.
Despite flat sales, JLR reported a pre-tax profit of £2.5 billion ($3.13 billion), its highest in a decade. The Range Rover Electric currently has an order book exceeding 61,000 — a feat for a brand just entering the category.
The Jaguar side of the business is much more saturated with problems. But ours is a Land Rover discussion with lots of positive news. Let’s bask in it for awhile.
