Diane Lane by Gavin Bond Talks 'The Telegraph' in Flaunt Magazine #201
/American actor Diane Lane takes one of many covers, wearing Fendi on her cover of Flaunt Magazine [IG] #201-2025. The issue’s theme is ‘Get in the Ring’. “We never unlive our past” Lane explains, about her late-October 2025 release political thriller ‘Anniversary’.
Anna Katsani styles Diane Lane in the fashion story ‘To Tango with the Pros’, choosing a wardrobe from Balmain, Brunello Cucinelli, Giorgio Armani, Norma Kamali, Michael Kors Collection, Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and more lensed by Gavin Bond [IG]./ Hair by Peter Gray; makeup by Yumi Nori
Gavin Bond shot the story in his NY studio and at The 1896 in LA.
The ‘Anniversary’ reviews were excellent, but because the film’s distributor Lionsgate released it against other really big movies like ‘Wicked for Good’ and failed to promote the movie with any goals of success, ‘Anniversary’ is not a success at the box office. AOC never heard a word about it.
The Hollywood Reporter review sums up the movie: 'Anniversary' Review: Diane Lane and Kyle Chandler Lead a Stupendous Cast in a Family's-Eye View of Authoritarian Politics.
Diane Lane’s character Ellen Taylor is a professor at Georgetown University and her husband Paul [played by Kyle Chandler] is a chef and restauranteur. With their four children and a few others, the Taylor tribe convenes to celebrate the couple’s 25th anniversary.
Phoebe Dynevor’s role as Liz Nettles, new girlfriend of the couple’s son Josh, [played by Dylan O'Brien] puts her at the center of the psycho thriller as the evil protagonist. Eight year’s prior, Nettles was a student of Elle Taylor and their relationship did not end well, when the professor condemned Liz's thesis for its "antidemocratic" philosophy and premise.
Now, the Taylor’s son Josh is ‘in love’ with Liz Nettles and has stopped his own creative writing to become her proofreader and editor. This is only the begging of a fantastic story line for patient audiences willing to follow unraveling plot line step by step.
Diane Lane’s CBS interview is highly informative about all the twists and turns of the movie ‘The Anniversary’. You can rent or buy the film on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, YouTube, Fandango at Home and Google Play Movies & TV.
Lane’s conclusions about the film are shared by thousands of concerned Americans of a wide-range of ages. The international community is equally concerned.
“Generations conveniently forget what’s just behind their line of vision. We’re looking forward, but we tend to forget from whence we came in terms of what’s so valuable about things such as democracy.”
Michelle Obama Asks: How Dare We?
Former First Lady Michelle Obama is making the same point as Diane Lane and her character Ellen Taylor in interviews about her latest book ‘The Look’.
Devoted to the evolution of her personal style in fashion, Mrs. Obama peppers her commentary with personal observations about American citizens who can’t be bothered to vote — or even care about politics — with claims that both parties are the same, so why bother.
They ARE NOT the same at all, Mrs. Obama insists. Furthermore, the widely-admired former First Lady is quite disturbed that so many young people — who she admits have a hundred reasons to be really upset with America — feel little or no obligation to a long string of civil rights activists of more than one skin color.
They died for you young people, she insists.
AOC notes that both women are in their 60s, which is a time when real wisdom is accrued rapidly among those who cultivate it. Beloved by me, former First Lady Michelle Obama’s book arrives Saturday. ‘The Anniversary’ sound like a must-watch movie.
