Jean Campbell in 'Vintage, Pre-Loved and Investment' Clothes for HTSI Magazine Oct. 21, 2023
/Known primarily as a very successful stylist, Cathy Kasterine [IG] is the photographer, shooting Jean Campbell in a cover fashion story for the October 21, 2013 issue of HTSI [IG]. / Hair by Soichi Inagaki; makeup by Niamh Quinn
Called ‘How to Spend It Wisely: New Conscious Attitudes’, the feature is devoted to “vintage, pre-loved and investment pieces in a homage to the ethos: Buy less, choose well and take care of things.”
AOC agrees with the message but it lacks any component of sustainability and concern about our Earth and its inhabitants.
Nowhere is this issue more relevant than in the cashmere sector where the “take care of things” message often suffices for any real concern about today’s enormous challenges of ethical cashmere sourcing.
Lady Jean Campbell poses on the HTSI cover pairing a Better white suit with adidas sneakers. Camilla Nickerson styles luxury brands like Another Tomorrow [exciting sustainable philosophy], Celine, Crombie [another of the currently-exciting heritage brands on quiet luxury radar], Fleur de Mal, Gabriela Hearst [sustainable], Helmut Lang, Huntsman [heritage, bespoke philosophy], Le Tricoteur, Re/Done x Hanes, The Row, Wright Le Chapelain [largely made from upcycled clothing sourced from charities] and more.
Note, we’ve linked to brands you probably don’t know about. Nobody loves Gabriela Hearst the brand and the woman more than AOC.
