Greg Lotus' 'Flora, Fauna and Merryweather' Fashion Story for Vogue Portugal May 2022

Photographer Greg Lotus [IG] delivers a sublime fashion story ‘Flora, Fauna & Primavera’ for the May 2022 print issue of Vogue Portugal. Images of models Jay Wright and Unia Pakhomova beg for oversized pages in a coffee table book about biophilia. and the ways our lives are enriched by connecting with nature. Now if only the clothes styled by dMODACREATIVE were sustainable./ Makeup by Pablo Rivera Art; hair by Danny Jelaca; producer @danielecarettoni at @espressoproductions

Vogue Portugal has a way of making me look pedestrian. Unable to find their own description of this fashion photography artistry, I painstakingly put the introduction words into a translator [no copy and paste] because when I saw Brothers Grimm, I knew they were not promoting biophilia or sustainability. Anne is such a dullard.

Translated now from the May 2022 Fairytale Issue of Vogue Portugal:

Everyone talks about princesses, but the tales are fairy tales. Like the three who serve as godmothers to Sleeping Beauty (1959), in the most popular animated version based on the work of Charles Perrault (1697). Flora, Fauna and Merryweather make up the trio of fairies that help minimize the curse cast by Maleficent, allowing Aurora to be awakened from her deep sleep by the kiss of true love, showing that life may not be a bed of roses, but that a magical trinity can always bring some flowers to a happy ending. After all, it is no wonder that in the Brothers Grimm's version, the original title is Dornröschen - dorn meaning thorn, and röschen translating as little flowers.
