Silvia Draz Focuses on the 'Waterfall Effect' with Iggy Jacobsen in Vogue Portugal October 2022

Silvia Draz [IG] uses her photographer skills to maximum impact in ‘Waterfall Effect’, with model Iggy Jacobsen. Noemie Schelbert styles Iggy in bright colors absorbed in the vastness of the Jungian, oceanic unconscious, associated with female nature and the female psyche.

Vogue Portugal’s October 2022 issue has been on my mind quite a lot.

You know how we have all these images of women diving into water for over a century?

Well, I want to see us rising out of the water like lightening bolts — diving upwards against the forces of gravity. Not Aphrodite Rising, although I believe in that concept of women emerging from the primordial muck with great minds and something to say.

I want women who are lightening-bolts being fired out of the depths of darkness towards the sun as torch-bearers.

Kanye Has Me Really Riled Up

You may not be following the Kanye West debacle, as I try to keep it off this fashion page. But it is here. Or you probably haven’t seen the new Godly-man commercial by Gov. Ron De Santis, in which he is here to save the world from the immorality of people like me — and probably us both, if you are reading AOC.

I’ve been studying the Hebrew Israelites and their claims to be the real Jews, unlike a disproportionate number of you darling creatives, who are fake Jews. Yes, I have the damn book on order.

In Sweden, a woman right-winger, recently elected to office used Kanye’s music playing to basically call Anne Frank a slut last week. SHE DID!

Then we have Trump calling the Florida governor Ron De Sanctimonious. That’s actually a good one, except that Trump — like Kanye — also thinks he’s God’s man in charge.

Are they all crazy? No, they are not. But they want to throw metaphorical burquas over women, LGBTQ+ people and other ‘immoral deviants’ and AOC will not stand for it.

I’m not ceding the Kanye crew an ounce of ground anymore, hearing that we can’t hold him responsible for his actions, due to his refusal to take meds for his bipolar condition.

So I want female lightening bolts being hurled into the sky out of water as signs of enlightenment, and I don’t care if you have a vagina or not. But I will not go mute on concepts of female principles, when the patriarchy has its hands on our throats worldwide and even in Sweden.

My light of critical thinking is being dimmed, even in Scandinavia.

Simply stated, I am not that advanced a human creature to handle Kanye West’s right-wing, Hitler-admiring-for-years assault on me and you, and liberal democracy worldwide. Absolutely, it’s far from perfect.

But do you really want Kanye West [Ye] telling you how to dress, what books to read, tracking whether or not you went to HIS Sunday services where HE plays God — to say nothing about whether or not you are on birth control, you heathen woman?

I refuse!

It’s very possible that the intellectual depth of Vogue Portugal is lost on most people. It’s the world we live in now. But I am continually impressed by VP. because I love brain triggers.

Writing about the October 2022 issue a few weeks ago, the editor’s letter by EIC Sofia Lucas, citing ‘The Butterfly Effect’ ended Anne up in chaos theory. For real!!!
