The September issue takes a different approach to putting the magazine together. British ELLE joins forces with 12 students Social Mobility Commission in the creative process. The students collaborated in every aspect of bringing the September issue to life from the cover to layouts and words. model, activist and Gurls Talk founder Adwoa Aboah led the journalistic endeavor which paired each young student with a Team ELLE mentor for the foreseeable future.

Adwoa Aboah delivers a powerful message to 2020 graduates, narrating the complicated story of how long it took her to find her own voice in the world. Propelled by her own history, she empathetically speaks to young students whose own life plans have been challenged by the pandemic.
