CAP is new to AOC, although it’s been on Models.com since 2017 and has just published issue #11. Founded by Antonio Mosogiuri (IG), the vision behind CAP 74024 is expressed in these words:

“CAP 74024 is not an erotic magazine, it’s not an art catalogue and it’s not a book about costume …. It is a thought. A thought that turns around eros, art and fashion. . . . It’s hard to label it, just because it is so different, starting from its name. Almost impossible to be pronounced or even remembered. . . . Eros, art, fashion. Three macro areas which describe many aspects of everyday life, areas that we wanted to cover through a sex paraphilia: voyeurism, the desire to observe, without being observed, what who is next to us is intending to carry out. The other’s lifes become much more interesting than our own.”

AOC shares this editorial for three reasons: 1) I love it; 2) In these financially-treacherous times, talented creatives need all the support we can give each other. AOC has become a highly-respected, international platform for showcasing curated creativity, and I will do all that I can to help our community; and 3) I’m saddened to watch a decade-long, significant diminishing of the nuanced expression of eroticism and eros in fashion and culture.

The Power of Positive Sensuality

As one who believes in ancient traditions of tantra and kundalini energy, of course I support the stated mission of CAP 74024.

Our current online “cancel culture’ tends to diminish the relevance of positive sensuality in our lives. Realistically, the Internet is not known for a nuanced handling of complex ideas.

Sensuality and the Rise of White Nationalism

We must also understand that the diminishing of positive sensuality is tied to the resurgence of white nationalism worldwide.

In the AOC queue is Anja Rubik’s current editorial for Vogue Poland’s December 2020 issue. The only reason it’s not posted is that I want to address this issue of white nationalism very directly in Anja’s editorial.

This superwoman activist has courageously stood her ground for years against the march of men to once again take full control of women’s bodies.

In America, Kanye West is now a major voice in the right-wing drive to reassert control of women’s bodies — in the name of God, of course, as is typical since the rise of monotheism. Kanye says God spoke to him in the shower and gave him this mission — that he is the chosen one to once again get women in line by moving against our hard-fought-for rights.

Anja has always advocated for positive sensuality and sex education and is a fearless leader in trying to protect abortion rights, access to birth control, and women’s rights generally in Poland and beyond. AOC will do the most major update on the urgency of this situation since 2012.

These are the many reasons why I’ve posted the Sonia Szostak editorial of Giedre Dukauskaite shared by CAP 74024. If you thought these terrific images were nothing more than great pics on AOC, think again. They are a call to action. ~ Anne
