Matthieu Blazy's New Girl Bhavitha Mandava Covers Vogue UK March 2026
Irony runneth over for Bhavitha Mandava, an India-born and educated architect who moved to New York City to join NYU’s program in assistive technology. One day this gorgeous young woman with a big brain and a ‘smile to die for’ was scouted on the New York subway as an exclusive in Matthieu Blazy’s Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2025 show.
That event was only the beginning for Mandava. When Blazy moved to Chanel shortly after, the new girl went with him. In record time, this young woman ambassador for the uber-challenging, big rewards for women winners breaking through barriers in New York City would open the Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026 Show in New York City.
Where did we find Bhavitha Mandava the night of December 2, 2025? Back in the subway.
Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons extend their chill approach to the holidays, with this December 2025 drop lensed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG].
Models include Arvid Kaldo, Bakary Cisse, Ma Kaidong, Noor Khan, Pierrick Grégoire, Rejoice Chuol and Ruyu Chen with styling by Olivier Rizzo and creative direction by Ferdinando Verderi.
Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2026 Men’s Pre-Collection Delivers Dogs Galore
Hallelujah! AOC bumped into Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2026 Men’s Pre-Collection video and it’s so joyful. Pharrell brings his humanity into everything he does.
Styled by Matthew Henson, the campaign is fronted by English footballer playing for Real Madrid CF, Friend of the House Jude Bellingham and English actor and producer Callum Turner, a House ambassador.
Photographed and filmed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG] the footballer and actor are seen in scenes from aristocratic life — with no aloofness.
Supermodel Vittoria Ceretti wears Dolce & Gabbana styled by Emmanuelle Alt in a fashion story reminding us “There is always time for love”. The ‘Prada Days of Summer 2025 Campaign’ Finds Wisdom in Calm Waters
Prada [IG] releases its ‘Prada Days of Summer 2025 Campaign’ lensed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG] with creative direction by Ferdinando Verderi and designers Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons.
Prada is known for being one of fashion world’s most intellectual brands.
Pearch’s calm waters are distinctive in the summer campaign images. Of course, AOC turns to the lessons of history to consider not only the waters, but also the faces of the campaign traveling in small boats.
The symbolism and mythology of calm waters have been the source of contemplation and meaning across all continents and religions in the history of humankind.
A Lesson from Icarus for Elon Musk
In the Greek myth Icarus likely saw his reflection in the calm waters of the sea — as he plunged to his death. Ignoring the advice of Daedalus that he not fly too close to the sun — or his wings would become dysfunctional as the wax holding them together melted — Icarus could not resist separating himself from the rest of humanity as a sun god.
Tod's Emerging Talent 'Italian Diaries' Campaign for Gommino Driving Shoe
Tod’s unveils Italian Diaries, a campaign that honors the brand’s legendary Gommino driving shoe, embraced by five emerging talents with rich artistic backgrounds: actress and singer Ella Bleu Travolta, musician Lennon Gallagher, writer and director Stella Banderas, model and artist Roberto Rossellini, and singer and actor Leo Gassmann.
Set at Villa Talamo amidst the stunning, ancient Tuscan scenery, photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG], shoots the campaign in black and white, while the Gomminos breakout in full-color images on social media and the Tod’s website.
As a symbol of Italian culture and craftsmanship, one that represents Tod’s expertise and attention to small details, the luxury brand is part of a larger renaissance of the Italian story, one that AOC is studying in great detail.
How do we create cultures that thrive for centuries — even with an egotistical madman at the wheel and democratic ideals thrown to the curb? We’re about to find out. It’s not as if Italy — and the rest of Europe also — haven’t been down this road before.
De Beers Jewellers has been rebranded as De Beers London with a new campaign celebrating the company’s roots in London and southern Africa, with the tag line “True brilliance comes from within.”
Top model Adwoa Aboah launches a new campaign for De Beers London called Portraits of True Brilliance. In addition to her career as a model, Aboah is a mental health activist and new mom.
This name change reflects the brand’s new attitude, which is female-focused and proud of its roots in London and southern Africa. Much of that pride is well-deserved because De Beers in Botswana is making historic changes outlined in AOC’s July 2023 post Botswana and De Beers Renew Long-Term, Progressive Diamond Mining Partnership.
Top model Lulu Tenney is styled by Katie Burnett in ‘Lady Stardust’ lensed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG] for Harper’s Bazaar France [IG] November 2024./ Hair by Mustafa Yanaz; makeup by Yadim
‘Lady Stardust’ is a reference to Ziggy Stardust, a fictional character who served as David Bowie’s stage persona during 1972 and 1973. His song ‘Lady Stardust’ is the central piece of the narrative of the album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’.
Supermodel Kendall Jenner takes three covers for the October 25, 2024 issue of M Le magazine du Monde [IG], with her current Instagram ignoring the latest rumors about her private life. The world is basically insane at this point.

Top model Lulu Tenney wears Prada on the August 2024 cover of Vogue Spain’s August issue, joined by Jean Campbell in a high-energy, modern cover story that stretches beyond the always included players.
Brands like Dior and Gucci benefit from a list that also includes smaller brands like Carven, Duro Olowu [IG], Etro, Ferragamo, Jil Sander, Moschino, Vaincourt and more, styled by Julia Sarr-Jamois.

Actor Sydney Sweeney is behind the wheel of Jimmy Choo’s [IG] Summer 2024 campaign, ‘Road to Joy.’
In my life, AOC has never asked “Who did it better?” But after reading ‘Dazed’ describe Sweeney preparing for her Jimmy Choo roadtrip as packing up her stuff starting with a “few pairs of cunty stillettos”, I couldn’t help laughing and then reflecting on one of the sexiest roadtrip campaigns that I remember.
Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi had to see the ‘Euphoria’ star in her scorching ‘old convertible breakdown in the Palm Springs desert’ June 2022 campaign for Tory Burch Miller sandals.
Clearly Choi decided that she could do it better, being a visionary for Jimmy Choo. This is a great decision, if you’re bringing plenty of prove-it ammo to the gunfight.
It’s close, as to which Sweeney campaign wins — because they are sisters.

Nazario celebrated his 36th birthday party in Paris on February 29, hosted by Samira Nasr, Harper’s Bazaar US editor-in-chief.
American model Amelia Gray is styled by Robbie Spencer in a fashion story of voluminous silhouettes and modern bodycon unitards looks.

Louis Vuitton delivers smile-worthy holiday cheer in its first episode of a multi-segmented campaign lensed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG] with video by Lope Serrano.
The Maison’s Mascot Vivienne and her friend Teddy arrive to explore all the Maison’s creations. As regulars, they might become treasured ornaments as the years go by — and we are eager to keep track of them.
These darling little creatures pop up everywhere in a distinct statement that whimsy is part of the holiday season and we are quietly encouraged to get “out of ourselves” and into the world of humanity.

Model, actor, mother Laetitia Casta covers the August 2023 issue of Harper’s Bazaar France. Actually, the issue is devoted to her in a series of fashion stories.
In this story ‘Rue des Plaisires’, Casta is styled by Isabelle Sayer in images by Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG]. / Hair by Akemi Kishida; makeup by Cécile Paravina
In their introduction, Harper’s France [IG] captures much of Casta’s enigmatic personality:
“Laetitia Casta surprises, surprises herself, and pops up where she is the least expected. Insubordinate and disciplined, wild and faithful, exposed and discreet, wise and punk, obvious and enigmatic, principled and tolerant, she is a complex and fascinating whole. And it continues to fascinate. If there is a Laetitia Casta mystery and poetry, this issue comes as close as it gets.”
Sunshine-soaked yellow reigns supreme over Vittoria Ceretti’s dominant hold of our attention span in the Jacquemus Summer 2023 Campaign. The raffia hats are impossible not to adore.
Photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG] is behind the lens with styling by Ursina Gysi.
Simon Porte Jacquemus adores Italy, and his namesake boutique has popped into Cernobbio, home to Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Cuomo. George and Amal Clooney, who own Villa Oleandra in nearby Laglio, will surely be fans of the Jacquemus boutique, open until October 16, 2023.

German top model, a Pices living in Brooklyn Anna Ewers has a 1993 picture of Kate Moss in Calvin Klein tacked on the wall of her childhood bedroom.
Ewers adores nature and open land, a perfect backdrop for her February 25, 2023 cover story for D la Repubblica, shot in the English countryside.

Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG] captures models Anyiel Majok, Felice Nova Noordhoff, and Malika Louback in the Emilio Pucci Holiday 2022/23 campaign ‘La Famiglia.
Imruh Asha styles a campaign the hugs Camille Miceli’s clear vision that “for me Pucci evokes a family of people spending time together, to enjoy life, parties, and well-being.”
Miceli wants the global enthusiasts, travel-loving, multi-generations Pucci ‘famiglia’ to embrace high-octane, dopamine-dressing as a form of spreading joyful optimism, self-confidence without a tinge of aristocracy [unlike Chanel] and a lust for life that reflects her own lifestyle.
Top model Anok Yai leaves nothing to the imagination with bold, modern art jewelry for ‘Spell It Out’. Julia Sarr-Jamois chooses vibrant colors against a black fashion backdrop lensed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch [IG] for British Vogue December 2022./ Hair by Jawara; makeup by Ammy Grammeh
While we associate the campaign’s silvery blue mood with the sea, let’s also remember that Hanukkah begins Sunday, December 18 this year and ends on December 26.
Whether she intended to make a subliminal statement or not in the Tory Burch Holiday 2022 Campaign, I appreciate blue in this moment. It’s refreshingly ecumenical, when brands are exploring exactly what traditions mean within the context of today’s world.
Hands down, Ralph Lauren has no peer in this realm of recasting the truth of the American experience. But Tory Burch is traveling on the same moonbeam — with an added emphasis on women’s lives and achievements. I love her for that long and sincere contribution to telling women’s stories.
Kanye West and his desire to rip America apart as a MAGA lover — and now Hitler, too — has gotten people up off the sidelines.
That would NOT be AOC, btw. We are never on the sidelines, when the focus is stopping hate.
Top model and activist Liya Kebede is known to be a booklover and she brings her passion to life with her daughter Raee in Paris. The two beauties wander literary Paris streets, from historic bookshops to walks and reading moments along the Seine.
Their Louis Vuitton Capucines bags enjoy Paris, too, embodying the very street where Louis Vuitton opened its very first store.

This fashion story ‘Earth Angels’ from More or Less Magazine [IG] adds a fabulous new twist to the VS Angels saga. If you don’t know, the magazine is devoted to sustainability and our living with less. More or Less wrote:
Hallelujah! For our final cover, we assembled an all-star cast of Earth Angels, styling nine ex-Victoria's Secret models in faux-fashion label Kezako’s upcycled underwear made from aluminium wrap, dried-out loaves of bread, old newspapers, cuddly toys and then some.
We are looking at creativity on steroids here and a brilliant way to call attention to sustainability.
Models include Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Elsa Hosk, Lais Ribeiro, Leomie Anderson, Lily Aldridge, Martha Hunt, Sara Sampaio and Stella Maxwell.

All bow down to models Beauise Ferwerda and Maaike Klaasen, styled by Vanessa Reid in ‘Bitchin in Bottega’. From the fashion story title to models not in need of any attitude adjustment — because they scream irreverence — to Oliver Hadlee Pearch’s [IG] images for Re-Edition Magazine, AOC LOVES everything about ‘Bitchin in Bottega’.
Victoria’s Secret is determined to get us out of life’s doldrums in America. When life gives you lemons, VS gives us fruit-punch Dream Angels Summer 2022 lingerie and swimwear in a huge range of band sizes 30-40 & cups A-G. Now THAT, my friends, is a VS Fresh Jams size range that is a lingerie lover’s dream come true.
Zesty lemons and flowers are embroidered on many of the pieces — and they are scrumptious! Really beautiful, VS. Good work.
Victoria’s Secret puts its Very Sexy summer 2022 lingerie and swimwear message on blast with models Abby Champion, Imaan Hammam, Mayowa Nicholas and Paloma Elsesser carrying the sexy women torch in the new ‘Hits of Summer 2022’ Campaign.
The VS Very Sexy message is ‘Let’s Talk About Lift, Baby”.
Miranda Kerr turns posing with the newest Louis Vuitton ‘Capucines’ bag collection into an act of meditation. The Aussie transplant strikes a perfect balance at the Sheats-Goldstein House in Los Angeles, showcasing a new Capucines bag [the pink one] with a blown glass handle that uses the same techniques as Murano glass blowers.

Oliver Hadlee Pearch turns his lens to the flagrant, in our faces hypocrisy of the Vatican and the Catholic Church worldwide on the topic of homosexuality. Carlos Nazario styles the cast in ecclesiastical-inspired menswear, heavy with the drapes of sartorial concealment, in ‘Angels in America’ for Vogue L’Uomo Spring 2019.
One assumes that the relaunched publication is long-seeped in knowledge about the Vatican’s hypocrisy on gay rights and women’s rights. I have no knowledge — and have never inquired — about the magazine’s position on this critical topic. A Google search brings up no first 5 pages commentary directly associated with the Vatican scandals from Vogue L’Uomo. The women’s magazines generally are doing noticeably better in talking about this difficult topic.
