Actor Cynthia Nixon of ‘Sex and the City’ Miranda Hobbes fame, appearing soon as a politico in the new Netflix series ‘Ratched’, covers the August 30 issue of London’s The Sunday Times Magazine

“If meeting someone in person is like a meal, this is like eating Doritos all day long,” she groans. “It’s just empty calories.” We grumble about it amiably while our respective sons on either side of the Atlantic fix the technical glitches: her nine-year-old is in charge of keeping their cat out of the frame, while my ten-year-old gets my audio to work. Nixon’s face keeps disappearing from the screen, replaced by what looks like a gaming figurine. “Yes,” she confirms with a dry maternal chuckle. “It is Minecraft.”
