A black power, super-talent, dream duo came together in creating Vogue Spain’s July-August cover story. Naomi Campbell, who impossibly celebrated her 50th birthday on May 22 in lockdown surrounded by massive bouquets of flowers, is lensed by rising star photographer Nadine Ijewere. Naomi is of Chinese-Jamaican heritage and was raised by her grandmother and aunts in south London, while her mother toured Europe as a professional dancer. Nadine Ijewere is a southeast London-born photographer of Nigerian-Jamaican parentage.

In her November 2019 interview with The Guardian, Naomi Campbell says she is happiest when in Africa. “I feel at peace on the continent,” Naomi told Nosheen Iqbal. “A very real inner peace.” This is her sixth cover for Vogue Spain.
