Daniel Roseberry, creative director of Schiaparelli [IG] just delivered one of the most scorching luxury brand campaigns in the last decade. It’s very Versace in spirit and Vogue Paris [France] under Carine Roitfeld. The campaign doesn’t rely on a secondary theme — two guys and one woman, for example — with a strong sensual undercurrent.

British model Bibi Breslin carries this stunning show all by herself, styled by Malina Joseph Gilchrist in images by Drew Vickers [IG]. Bibi is a very versatile model, fresh off a gorgeous Ralph Lauren campaign and Tom Ford Fragrance. At end of post, AOC widgets many new posts featuring Breslin’s work.

Schiaparelli introduces the new Soufflé bag with its voluminous, curvaceous silhouette that is absolutely female and conceptually at home in local markets worldwide. The talented Daniel Roseberry is searching for design ideas that build out a wider platform for Schiaparelli.

I can’t tell if the campaign made a strategic decision to tap into the cultural unconscious — or they know that sensuality is heating up again in fashion and design and this campaign is making a dramatic, provocative statement.
