PUMA ambassador Winnie Harlow lights up the brand’s Bodywear & Swimwear 2022 campaign, supporting SHE MOVES US.
Who knew that when PUMA founder Rudolf Dassler launched the company in 1948, he took 14 employees from the old Dassler Brothers factory with him, including eight women? Who knew that Rudolf Dassler younger brother Adolf ‘Adi’ founded Adidas?
The swimwear and bodywear designs were made by PUMA’s subsidiary stichd, with significant use of recycled nylon. You can track the sustainability particulars of stichd on the “sustainability strategy check in edition 01.”
AOC will soon do a review of all the models and talents launching new product ventures. It’s an avalanche and many of these new brands take NO position around sustainability.
Several big names are taking this “hear no evil, see no evil — let’s boogie” approach to launching new brands with no mention of earthly governance obligations. It’s infuriating and surprising to me.

Taking a quick look at CAY SKIN, Winnie Harlow has given us another reason to love her. Winnie is walking her talk, and I’m sure that she doesn’t make every eco-activist happy. Their demands are major out of the gate, but Harlow’s off to a great start with her commitment to creating a sustainable business. ~ Anne
