The Phoenix Is Rising! Victoria's Secret's CEO Hillary Super Pushes Go Button
/There’s hope in the air at Victoria’s Secret as the company’s new CEO Hillary Super, formerly CEO of Savage X Fenty, puts her imprint on what remains the world’s largest lingerie brand. After all the times I taunted VS with a passionate AOC argument that Rihanna’s lingerie brand would run circles around them in the future, the company went out and made a rumored $18 million annually deal, based on reaching benchmarks, with Hillary Super. Smart move!
The strong leader is firing on all cylinders, and AOC will recap her moves in a separate post. With all the stress America is under in this moment, I recommend that we all bask in the atmosphere of four beauties: Blésnya Minher, Devyn Garcia, Imaan Hammam and Paula Soares, in Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy, Very New Spring 2025 campaign.
Emmanuelle Alt styles the Very Sexy, Very New campaign, introducing the new Lightly Lined Low-Cut Demi Bra, lensed by Lachlan Bailey [IG]. This is a multi-pronged campaign from Atelier Victoria’s Secret x Altuzarra, representing the first time that VS has worked with designer Joseph Altuzarra.
I’ve been so sad over the unnecessary destruction of Victoria’s Secret before my very eyes, that I haven’t written nearly as much in recent months. But when I played this video on what is a late post for AOC, I felt like the phoenix was rising out of the ashes. Yes, yes, yes!!!
Now I’ve been tricked before — that I think we’re cruisin’ again only to be aghast when landing on the VS landing page. I can’t say why, because it’s so unwoke of me. But an encounter took the concept of inclusivity one step too far, leaving me to basically wash my hands of a brand I worked so hard to build in its glory years — and with great success. This was all so unnecessary.
