The Secret Lives of Kiss-Blowing Victoria's Secret Models
/I’ve blown a few of my own kisses in life and don’t want to rain on anyone’s ‘golly, gee life is wonderful’ brand message. So I’ll keep this short and not be a kill joy.
Writing about the Victoria’s Secret Angels in LA this week, dishing out the ‘What Is Sexy” awards, I thought the girls looked great, but paused over the kiss-blowing photo. It hit me as more than a bit superficial, after digesting the sexiest lips, sexiest butt … all the sexiest body parts. Victoria’s Secret did give a sexiest sense of humor award to Ellen.
Being on good behavior, I moved on. But I got out the kiss-blowing photo again today, after reading the Shakespeare-worthy story of former Victoria’s Secret fashion show model Noemi Lenoir, who has a big following in Europe. Lenoir is erroneously called an Angel in much press. Being an Angel is a higher calling, but I could be wrong here about the supermodel. If Noemi Lenoir was an Angel, her contract wasn’t renewed.
Reading the details of Noemie Lenoir’s turbulent private life and writing Love Potion Gone Wrong | Noemie Lenoir ‘Recovering’ for Sensuality News, I stared at her air kiss and beautiful photos, reminding myself that stardom’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
We ordinary folks think these women have perfect lives, and then we read that not only did Noemie Lenoir attempt suicide this weekend, but her heart throb controversial Swiss millionaire Carl Hirschmann, 29, is out on £300,000 bail in Zurich, and Miss Lenoir regularly visits him there.
Hirschmann, a notorious playboy, has been accused by police of being involved in orgies with young models whom he is said to have plied with vodka-based cocktails called ‘Love Potion’ before videoing them in depraved sex acts.
He is accused of blackmailing the models with the X-rated tapes from the CCTV camera - demanding huge amounts of cash in return for not posting them on the internet. He denies the accusations. via Sensuality News
Noemie Lenoir may look like she’s got the world on a string in this photo. The truth is that kiss blowing may hide a lot of troubling confusion behind a gorgeous, supermodel veneer.
From the details I’ve read, if William Shakespeare were alive, he’d be penning a play about Noemie Lenoir. We don’t follow supermodels per se on our websites, but there’s learnings for all of humanity in the life of this talented, beautiful, sensual woman Noemie Lenoir.
When we talk about ‘real women’ isn’t this also part of the discussion? For me the ‘real women’ topic crosses the totality of women’s lives and not just body size.
