Caitlyn Jenner: 'Liar' Hillary Clinton Will Ruin America Advocate

“I would never, ever, ever vote for Hillary. … If Hillary becomes president, the country is over,” Jenner responds. She goes on to call Clinton “a lousy senator,” “a fucking liar,” and “a political hack,” and blames Clinton’s actions as Secretary of State for troubles in the Middle East.

Jenner’s friends defend Clinton, with Candis Cayne calling the candidate “an amazing woman,” but Jenner isn’t about to change her mind. "She was horrible. Look at all the things that are going on in the Middle East — all because of her. Look at Benghazi. She lied to us."

“Just because I’m a woman now doesn’t make me all of a sudden liberal,” says Jenner, a longtime Republican who has recently told The Advocate she favors Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for president. Cruz is currently running second to Trump in delegates accumulated in the Republican primaries.

Jenner’s criticism of Clinton in this interview comes on top of comments she made in last Sunday’s second season premiere of 'I Am Cait', in which she contended that Clinton cares only about herself and that Republican governance is better for transgender people.

With most of the transgender community ready to cough up blood over Jenner's assertions that Republicans are better than Democrats for insuring the civil and human rights of the LGBT community, there was another surprise in store for Jenner's audience.

The girls were on the road and coincidentally in the audience at the November 14 Des Moines Democratic debate. Was this an accident or a staged event? Only Jenner and Hillary know. Jenner glided up to Clinton after the event and extended her hand. "Hillary?" she said.

Clinton responded warmly, as Jenner explained that she and her cohorts are on a road trip to raise awareness about transgender issues in America. "That's great," Clinton says. "I have to tell you, what's happening around the world deserves your attention. Anything you can do to help."

Hillary also asked the E! star to "say hello to your family, too". Was Hillary referring to Jenner's stepdaughter Kim Kardashian and ex-wife Kris Jenner, who both donated $2700 to her presidential campaign last July? The full episode will air on Sunday.

In 2010, then Secy of State Hillary Clinton approved a passport policy allowing transgender people to change their passport status, using a doctor's note as an affidavit of receiving "appropriate clinical treatment for gender transition" but without having gender reassignment surgery.

According to the National Transgender Discrimination Survey, only 21 percent of transgender people have the proper gender on all forms of ID and a third have not been able to update any documents whatsoever.

In terms of federal-level recognition of transgender rights, the 2010 passport policy was epochal and came at a time when Secy Clinton was actively involved in protecting transgender rights in countries like Uganda. NCTE (National Center for Transgender Equality) Executive Director Mara Keisling told The Advocate that transgender advocates had been asking for new passport policy since at least 2000.

“Most of the kudos has to go to the State Department and Secretary Clinton and the Obama administration,” she said. “This is a huge win.”

Hillary Clinton's presidential has been endorsed by the Human Rights Campaign, America's largest LGBT civil rights organization and most recently by Equality PAC, formed by leaders of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus.

“For more than 20 years, Secretary Clinton has worked to break down barriers for LGBT Americans and our families,” said Rep. Mark Takano, a California Democrat, today in a press release announcing the Equality PAC board’s endorsement of Clinton, the former secretary of State, U.S. senator, and first lady.

“In the Senate, she fought for employment nondiscrimination and increased funding to combat HIV/AIDS,” he continued. “She helped lead the successful efforts to block a federal amendment banning marriage equality. As secretary of State, she led the most LGBT-friendly State Department in American history. She ensured that State Department employees in same-sex relationships received the same rights as their colleagues, and made it easier for transgender Americans to acquire passports reflecting their true gender. As president, she will fight to pass the Equality Act and protect the gains we’ve made in recent years. Under President Obama, LGBT Americans have learned how important it is to have a president who will stand with us against those who would deny us equality. We will have the same sort of advocate in President Hillary Clinton, and so we are proud to endorse her in this campaign.”

Update March 25, 2016: North Carolina Anti-LGBT Law

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed a bill on March 23, making it legal to discriminate against LGBT people. The bill trumps on a statelaw versus local city laws legislation protecting LGBT rights. Prior to HB2, the city of Charlotte passed local legislation prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation. The law also allowed trans women to use the ladies' bathroom a d trans men to use men's locker rooms.

The law also gutted an existing 30-year-old law that "had allowed private sector employees to sue their employers under state law discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex or handicap. "It takes away a right that people have had for 30 years," Bill Rowe, the director of advocacy at the North Carolina Justice Center told TPM on Friday. "It’s a pretty big change that caught us all by surprise."

As the bill was being considered, Dow Chemical, Biogen, and Raleigh-based software company Red Hat all opposed it, writes The Atlantic. "Others have since added their voices, including IBM, American Airlines, PayPal, and Apple. (Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, is openly gay and graduated from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.) As my colleague Gillian White reported this week, North Carolina has sought to make itself a hub for tech companies and startups. Democrats in the state say the law could endanger federal Title IX funding for schools."

The NBA issued a statement suggesting it might reconsider plans to host the 2017 All-Star Game in Charlotte. "The NCAA also suggested the law might cause it to change plans to hold elements of its annual college-basketball tournament and other events in the Old North State—a move that could resonate in this hoops-crazed state."
