On a very serious note, the accomplished equestrian has suffered major accidents while riding, most notably a severe brain injury in 2019. Campbell recovered after spending six months on her back staring at the ceiling. Her brain couldn’t be exposed to any stimulation as it healed.

Edie explained: “All you can do is lie down and stare at the ceiling and wait. If you do anything you set yourself back. No TV, no books.”

In December 2023, a horse kicked Edie in the face, threatening to end her end her modeling career. She was left with only a small scar. There are more accidents but AOC focuses on the positive aspects of Edie’s relationship with horses — one she calls deeply psychological and spiritual.
