Supermodel Christy Turlington, from Walnut Creek, California was age 18 in 1987, when she appeared in the September pages of Vogue Italia.
Dandy looks were in fashion, and especially narrow-waist jackets.
The famous photographer David Bailey photographed Christy in two fashion stories — this one ‘Giacca Attillata, Nuovi Dandysmi’ — and a second, large country clothes overview ‘Giacca a Quadri, Chic di Campagna’ Pt. 1 and 2.
David Bailey would shortly shoot Christy for the cover of Vogue Italia in January 1988. She first appeared on the cover of British Vogue in July, 1986.
