The 2013 Victoria’s Secret fashion show extravanza played out in Manhattan’s Lexington Avenue Armory last week armory with entertainment by Taylor Swift. The show was divided into six themes: ‘British Invasion’, ‘Birds of Paradise’, ‘Shipwrecked’, ‘Snow Angels’, ‘Parisian Nights’ and ‘PINK network’. Huff Po weight in with The 10 Most Bizarre Outfits From The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, but we found the lingerie not as outlandish as in some years past. Much of the styling was quite beautiful.
The $6.5 billion VS brand is riding strong comp sales of 6-7% in a rough retail climate and slumping ready-to-wear sales. Retail now accounts for an even larger share of the VS brand, at about 77% of revenues.
