Accepting her award Sunday night, Billie said: “As grateful as I feel, I honestly don’t feel like I need to say anything but that no one is illegal on stolen land ... F*** ICE.”
It didn’t take long for conservative journalist Eric Daugherty to point out that Billie’s own home in Los Angeles is built on land historically inhabited by the Tongva. While we educate ourselves, you can learn more about the indigenous peoples of the LA River basin here.
Billie Eilish Came After Dr. Priscilla Chan With Her Blast to Billionaires at WSJ Innovators Awards
Billie Eilish [IG] made a classic Ballbreaker move at Wednesday's WSJ Magazine [IG] 2025 Innovator Awards, where Eilish was receiving the Music Innovator Award in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Eilish had platinum-level money in her sight with the best binoculars money can buy when she planned her acceptance award speech for last night. Now that we know that Dr. Priscilla Chan had already received her award before Billie, we have tempered slightly our euthusiasm over her performance.
Billie came after Dr. Chan in the awards order, and the Zuckerberg-Chan $45 billion donation to CZI was already acknowledged and praised in the audience when Chan received her award from Karlie Kloss.
Her short speech is playing well across the internet, and with the crisis that America is moving towards this weekend, Eilish will inspire our young people. Goddess knows, they need it.
Billie Eilish is back at Gucci and let’s applaud that move. Without question Billie is a bridge between the respective visions of the two creative directors — Alessandro Michele and now Sabato De Sarno.
For Gucci, Billie Eilish has teamed up on a greenish version of their iconic Horsebit 1955 bag. The new version is crafted from Demetra, a 75% plant-based, animal-free material that has been produced in Italy since 2021.
Gucci launched sneakers made of Demetra two years ago. The bags also use recycled ECONYL nylon made from regenerated ghost nets, carpets, and pre-consumer waste. Prada and Burberry were leaders in the development of ECONYL with products coming to market in 2019. Demetra is tanned in accordance with Gucci’s century-old standard practices.
Billie Eilish and Nike made sustainability news again this week, with the Tuesday [Aug.8] drop of the Nike x Billie Eilish - Nike Air Alpha Force 88 in Chicago Bulls colors.
Eilish is a devoted environmentalist and leverages her reputation always to move the fashion industry forward.
Billie’s New Kicks in Chicago
The mega-watt star wore her new kicks paired with a Chicago Bulls jersey at Lollapalooza 2023 Chicago last weekend. The scene was mega-watt, authentic Billie Eilish and the much-admired singer was generous with her kicks pics on her IG.
In total, her shoe is 25% recycled, and I’m sure Billie was begging for 35%.
In a clever headline, Vogue B wrote: “Algae is the new black: Nike sneaker swaps petroleum for sustainable ink. . . Other brands can take note.” This is news to AOC and we live close to the topic of sustainability.
Billie Eilish x Nike are back with Billie Eilish x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Mushroom” and “Sequoia” colorways as part of the Jordan Brand.
The drop uses leftover material from Billie’s earlier AF1 high launch to create this one, coming Dec. 13 on store.billieeilish.com and Dec. 14 on the SNKRS app.
Designed the the legendary Bruce Kilgore, the Nike Air Force 1 occupies a special place in the heart of sneaker culture. Celebrating its 40th anniversary in sneaker culture, the choe connects two and sometimes three generations of AF1 lovers. Kilgore remains head of Manufacturing Innovation at Nike.
Interviewed by Willa Bennett, Billie Eilish covers the Winter 2022 issue 29 of Highsnobiety magazine.
The fashion story spans luxury and streetwear, as Billie wears the “billowing” — silhouettes she is known for lensed by Davit Giorgadze [IG].
What Billie Eilish says in her new Highsnobiety interview reflects her own experience with the virgin/whore dichotomy.
“I think that people have taken me more seriously because I’ve had this more masculine [way of dressing] throughout my career,” she adds. “If I had been more feminine and girly, people would’ve been a lot less respectful of me.”
It’s only in recent years that the fashion industry from designers to media have moved beyond tokenism into real change on the body shapes and sizes celebrated on fashion show runways, branded ad campaigns, online and print fashion editorials and in the all-important world of social media.
There is a lot of debate on what body positivity stands for, but at its core, it seeks to create an inclusive environment where all kinds of bodies feel accepted, regardless of appearance. Lately, influences online have been vital in keeping the movement trending. With social media, celebrity is no longer confined to glossy magazine pages or TV screens; a star's online presence has made them more accessible and influential.
Rather than focusing on going down a dress size, modern weight loss plans focus on holistic health and wellness. The focus is now on cultivating healthy habits, using advanced nutrition and behavioral science insights so that weight loss is sustainable.
Billie Eilish becomes a femme fatale driving the winding roads of the Hollywood Hills for Gucci Eyewear. Billie puts her foot on the gas, encountering her twin car in pink coming close to her.
Is Billie in danger? We’re on pins and needles with faux fear. Harley Weir [IG] directs the film, with art direction by Lina Kutsovskaya. And, of course, Gucci’s Alessandro Michele is always the conductor of the ensemble.
Over the course of my life, there are perhaps 7-10 dreams that have rocked my world.
I don’t honestly believe that Beyoncé, Tiffany & Co, Alessandro Michele, Gucci, Billie Eilish and Anne Enke are travelling on the same moonbeam — but one never knows.

Molly Lambert interviews Eilish in ‘Billie Eilish Is Calling the Shots’. She opens:
With her latest album debuting at number one, Billie Eilish opens up about making music, directing her own videos, and not giving a $%! what anyone has to say about her hair, clothes, or sexuality.
Just to be different, AOC will temporarily forget about Billie Eilish’s stunning new look on the June 2021 cover of British Vogue. We really SAVE the word ‘stunning’ for when we mean it. Goddess give us strength! Talk about a stunning metamorphosis!
