Church's X Miu Miu SS2024 Campaign Shanghai Brogues Lensed by Lengua

A Church’s X Miu Miu [IG] collaboration returns for Spring 2024. as a juxtaposition of the mannered and the natural, with the context of heritage as viewed through the eyes of youth.

The campaign focus is on Church’s classic ‘Shanghai’ style, a design first introduced in 1929.

Models Matilda Liedholm and Judith Shyambala are photographed by Lengua [IG] against the backdrop of a verdant country garden. Lotta Volkova styles the set, with creative direction by Edward Quarmby.

The campaign imagery is very manicured and to-the-manor-born, complete with the grandeur of topiary and a specially commissioned striped jacquard inspired by summertime upholstery. It’s the video that adds a note of spookiness and irregularity to the interpretation of facts. This is the high-IQ, brainiac quirkiness of the young Miu Miu customer with a mind and imagination not bound by the limits of existing scientific knowledge. Her mind wanders to new science and contemporary understanding of historical facts — as opposed to conspiracy theories, which are too mundane for the Miu Miu mind to take seriously.
