Sydney Sweeney's Jimmy Choo 'Road to Joy' Campaign by Oliver Hadlee Pearch
/Actor Sydney Sweeney is behind the wheel of Jimmy Choo’s [IG] Summer 2024 campaign, ‘Road to Joy.’
In my life, AOC has never asked “Who did it better?” But after reading ‘Dazed’ describe Sweeney preparing for her Jimmy Choo roadtrip as packing up her stuff starting with a “few pairs of cunty stilettos”, I couldn’t help laughing and then reflecting on one of the sexiest roadtrip campaigns that I remember.
Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi had to see the ‘Euphoria’ star in her scorching ‘old convertible breakdown in the Palm Springs desert’ June 2022 campaign for Tory Burch Miller sandals.
Clearly Choi decided that she could do it better, being a visionary for Jimmy Choo. This is a great decision, if you’re bringing plenty of prove-it ammo to the gunfight.
It’s close, as to which Sweeney wins.
In true feminist style, Tory Burch has Sweeney fixing her own breakdown. And some damn sexy thoughts fill our corrupted minds watching her. What do you think?
Anne wears stilettos, loves kitten heels and was never a Birkenstock gal. So I should be saying Jimmy Choo wins the Who Did It Better? Sweeney shoe campaigns showdown.
Still, the Tory Burch Miller x Sweeney entry against Jimmy Choo x Sweeney shoes-in-the-desert showdown has stayed with me for two years, with instant recall. This is a very tough call.

The actor’s new romantic comedy ‘Anyone But You’ debuted at No. 2 on its Global Top 10 Movies chart for the week of April 22-28 with 10.6 million views, which equates to 18.3 million viewing hours. The film was ranked No. 1 on the Top 10 Movies chart in the U.S.
Sweeney has been in black and white nun-inspired fashion promoting ‘Immaculate’ — well except for the cutouts on the sides of her dresses. See AOC’s Sydney Sweeney From Bloody Nun to Barbarella by David Roemer for Bazaar Spain.
Yes, Sweeney is remaking the Jane Fonda cult film, and Jane is nervous. And today, May 3, 2024, Deadline reported that Sydney Sweeney will be joining Ana de Armas in ‘Eden’, a thriller film that will be directed by Ron Howard. Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby, and Daniel Bruhl are also part of the cast.
Back to Jimmy Choo and Sydney Sweeney’s love of restoring cars, the actor believes that the two passions actually build on each other.
The meticulous attention to detail required in acting—understanding a character's nuances and bringing stories to life—parallels the precision needed in restoring old vehicles to their former glory.
Sweeney inherited this love of old cars with motors that purr from her father who was a restoration aficionado in a family of mechanics. The actor told Architectural Digest in 2022, that it wasn’t the case that her family had such nice cars. But they were always dreaming about the possibility.
Ford has built two gorgeous baby blue 2024 Mustangs, based on the 1965 model the actor’s restoring. One has gone to Sweeney and the other won by “a lucky gearhead.”
Thanks, Jimmy Choo, for putting this dynamic force of nature — Sydney Sweeney — in the limelight, today. May she help you sell an absolute bonanza of shoes. ~ Anne
