Lila Moss As Magical Harlequin Lensed by Elizaveta Porodina for Vogue Spain

Fresh off being named a USA ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty last week, Lila Moss covers the March 2024 issue of Vogue Espana [IG], wearing Mugler.

In her own words, Lila credits “the wonderful mind” of photographer Elizaveta Porodina [IG] for transforming her into “a magical harlequin” for the Vogue Spain cover story. Lila Moss Now Lives in New York

Lila reflects on her fashion model life, explaining “This profession is about telling a story with clothes and making them come to life. That's why I think it's important to understand the creative side and not get too caught up in looks and how you're perceived."

Moss lives now in New York, navigating a degree of physical independence and personal agency from her famous supermodel mother Kate Moss. The two have an unusually close relationship, and Lila is hardly at a loss, looking for connections and friendships in New York.

Nevertheless, the bird has flown the nest, so to speak, and she speaks more on this topic in her Vogue Spain interview.

Lila Stresses the Reality that She and Kate Have Different Personalities

Lila expresses the idea that her famous mother wasn’t initially positive about her daughter pursuing a career as a model. It was only when Kate founded her own agency in 2016, that overseeing Lila’s experiences as a young model was now withing her own control.

Lila Moss describes herself as much more shy than Kate.

“I don’t have a lot of self-confidence when it comes to meeting new people and hanging out with people who are older than me.”

At the same time, ‘Moss the daughter’ believes that she may well be more responsible than ‘Moss the mother’ was at the same age.

Unlike so many young models, Lila has a demystified vision of the fashion industry when it comes to being a queen of the runway.

Miu Miu SS 2021 Maiden Runway Walk

Lila’s first fashion show was the Miu Miu spring-summer 2021 event, just a week after she turned 18.

She reflects: “I think the most stressful thing was that I opened the parade: you're the first one out, you set the pace somehow and then you lead the final carousel, which is also intimidating.

It was amazing, I remember that the collection was incredible and I am a superfan of the brand.”
